Hello Vj'ers! I'm already here in the US and we are going to have the wedding pretty soon.

So my question is,.. what's next with the paper works after the wedding? :help: and what do i have to provide to get things done?

A good overview of what's next is on the K-1 Visa Flowchart - you're on about Step 16.

Once married and marriage certificate is in hand, you can follow the K-1/K-3 Adjustment of Status guide (this it to get the PR/Green Card and work authorization etc).

Like others suggested, read the guide on VJ and visit the USCIS website. Bookmark the pages with the forms, and I suggest you print out the instructions for each so you can start reviewing them. Also, take a look at the checklist to make sure you have what they need (birth certificate with translation, tax documents for the affidavit of support, etc.) that way you have some time to gather what you are missing :)

OK,. so do I apply for SSN now or later after the wedding so we don't have to come back again to change my last name?

I would do it now then wait until you get your PR/Green Card to return and get the name changed and the 'not valid for work ....' annotation removed.
