Anyone using Magic Jack for calling PI?

Works good for us for calls from phil. I brought it to my fiancee and had it loaded with a local CA number. So I can call her or she can call me at home or on my cell. Quality good sometimes and sometimes it can get choppy, depends on the connection. For calls "to" phil, you're better off using a good calling card. The MJ requires you use their international rates when calling overseas. Currently calling phil on MJ is 19 cents a minute. I get about 8 cents a min on AT&T phone card from Costco.

yeh, just depends on her connection. We've been using one since last year and 90% of the time it's good. Bayantel's service isn't very good so she's going to switch to Globe pretty quick. I understand it's a lot better where she is in Leyte.

depends on her connection. As long as the magic jack has the local US number it will only cost you what it does to call the local number (unless something changed in the past few months)....they have no way of telling that it is overseas...or they really dont care. we have used it a little bit, but the call quality wasnt very good because of my wife's connection.

YES ME TOO USING IT SOMETIMES coz my tita have this majick jack... but i am just wondering how do u print the voice call record... coz i noticed that it is not recorded on my ym voice call...

I think you would have to take screenshots of the history on it...not too sure though. Been quite a long time since i have used mine.

I took one with me when i went to cebu to meet rhio in jan, forgot to pack it in my baggage on return home, we use all the time and it works real good, like the others have said, it really depends on the internet connection, while i was there i set up pldt phone service with internet for them.

We used 2 magic jacks for a year while we were apart. Hours and hours of phone time made life bearable. We still use the one here in the US as our "home phone" and the other was left in the province to talk with the relatives back home.
