Hi all,

I'm preparing the I-134 for my fiance's interview at the US Consulate, yeah! Do they also requires forms of evidence, such as...

- employee letter with title and salary

- tax returns

- copy of financial statements (bank, investments, etc.)

Thanks!

Generally if your income is sufficient (refer to the poverty guidelines), the following documents should be enough proof:

1) Employment Letter that indicates your job title, salary and date of hire/years of service. This should be in a company letterhead with appropriate signature.

2) Tax transcript for the last 3 years

3) Pay stubs (3-4 is ok)

Employer letters are a good idea when available but always optional. Pay stubs are good as are tax returns or transcripts. When income alone is sufficient, just leave all the asset related questions blank and forget about documenting assets you didn't state in the first place. The kind of bank letter they describe is seldom obtainable anyway.

As an example - my income was well above the requirement and I sent the following:

I-134

Letter of Employment

most recent 2 years tax returns - (I didnt send transcripts but copies of my 1040, schedule A, w2's)

most recent 6 months worth of pay stubs (originals and copies)

most recent 6 months of bank statements (originals and copies)

(We were US Consulate - Vietnam)

We had no problems - no questions

Not saying this is what you have to send - just providing a sample of what I sent.

Good Luck - hope all goes well!!!!
