Can anybody help me,my husband wants to adopy my 15 year old son who has a condtional greencard. The biological father already signed the full custody and under US court ,the full custody was granted to me. The father doesn't give anything and really we don't know where he is...what is the procedure,steps or requirements.Thank you so much for any advise you can provide.

a legal adoption is not an immigration issue but a family law issue... family law is controlled by your state of residence so you need to accomplish the legal adoption in accordance with your state laws first and foremost... once that is accomplished then the minor child will automatically become a US citizen, but that is the easy part... you first must get the legal adoption done.
