Biometrics info for Military family members - N400

Last week I learned that military family members can go to any ASC center to do their biometrics for N400 without an appointment or even a biometrics notice letter. I had mine for the other ASC center which they stamped when I was done.

If you call the USCIS military hotline or the regular USCIS hotline and identify yourself as the military family member they will read you information about the new procedure. All you have to bring with you is your GC, dependant card (DD1173 - pink card) and your military spouse's ID card. Your spouse does not have to be on active duty for you to do early biometrics.

Heads up: this change in ASC procedures is very new - the ASC center I went to had no idea - they say they're the last ones to learn of any new developments (sound familiar?) so you may have to be the one to explain it to them.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if this also applies for removing conditions as well or if it's only for citizenship?

From the USCIS hotline - identified myself as mil family member - they read me info for N400 only as that had change of procedure in ASCs. You may want to give them a call and see about ROC.
