Ohh, i only wish it were as simple as that :(

Unfortunately i'm the bread winner and i'm not really able to take 2/3 months off work :( I spent a fair bit of time there over the last few years so i'm lucky enough not to need familiarisation with the place :)

The exchange rate is still better than one to one, but it's pants compared to a couple of years ago, but again, unfortunately, i had already planned on it being in my favour, so nothing gained :(

Anything lost?

If you can bring enough to tide you for a few months, you'll manage.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Lost? only a potential gain i guess.

Weddings are too expensive, moving and getting married just compound the costings really. I'll manage i hope.

The only other real concern is the apartment, i can't get one without a job as they tend to want proof of employment etc.

Think outside the box.

Have a realtor help you find an apartment. You might have to show them your bank balance, but not the landlord.

Have a small wedding now. Have a big splash party after you get a job.

I was hoping not to use anyone for finding an apartment, but it's possible.

My new question is this; Has anyone recently gone through the EAD application and could advise a timeframe on it? I've just spoken to USCIS and they're saying about 3 months!!!!
