I got married overseas last year in November but I filed my 2009 taxes as single already before I learned that this ITIN was possible or ever existed. So should I amend my tax and apply for this ITIN or should I keep it as it is since it's already accepted by IRS? What do you think NVC or the embassy interview will think about my tax showing single? I think it's fine since all they want to see is my income anyways but who knows so thats why Im asking here what you think.

Thanks.

MY INTERVIEW DATE IS JULY 8,2010 at 8:30AM but WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE FOR AUGUST!

Why would you file single? You could have filed ‘head of household’ at the least, and save big bucks with out the BS of ITIN or even with out a SSN for your spouse. AMEND!
