Why there are pinays out there who feels so conceited about theirselves once they arrived here in the States?

:dance:HELLO EVERYONE  Puwede makisabat? Part-time cashier ako and sometimes loader..aba akala mo kung sino makapag-utos at maangas magsalita, mayabang. Ako nahihiya sa asawa nila na very humble and always utter " I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP or THANK YOU MUCH " phrase after you serve them. Naririning kong nagsasalita ng English, minsan gusto ko humagalpak sa tawa..... nakakatuwang pakinggan, he he he he he LOL!!!

They are spoiled daw. My experience in Wal-mart yesterday. I work at the jewelry dept at meron customer na couple. Pinay yung girl.

Not mine.

Hokey Smoke!

Rocky: "Baby, are they still mad at us on VJ?"

Bullwinkle: "No, they are just confused."

On the other hand, maybe the husband could afford those stuff and do love to give her those stuff. She is able to find someone who could afford to give her what ever she wants. ISN'T SHE LUCKY?

Lucky girl indeed. My husband cannot afford an Iphone. Too much money for a piece of ####### he says. Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend. How a lucky a Pinay can get if she's being showered with gifts like diamonds and Iphones.

You really need insurance for the diamond. Or just get the lifetime warranty from the jewelry store, continuous check-up & cleaning. Kung nawala ang diamond, the store would replace it. Since regular ang cleaning... laging bago ang diamond ring mo.

I was back reading some old posts and this is soooo interesting.. My fiance is half-pinoy/half-spanish who just grew up in the states. He has the same problem with Pinoy Guys in the states!! GUYS!! He'll be in the gym, and other Pinoys would gang up on him (because I guess he looks Mexican haha) and would start talking sh*t in Tagalog about him!! So what he'd do is show off his 3stars & a sun tattoo so that they'll know what they are dealing with.. the other Pinoys would just ask "Ay Pinoy ka rin?" He'd just nod coz he coz he speaks awful Tagalog, he's more fluent in Ilonggo!! HAHA

:ot2: But see the thing is, people change when they step in the US of A. They feel that all of a sudden they can step on people.. but they are soooo wrong. Sometimes, all we need to have is patience. Sabi nga nila diba, wag patulan kasi di mo ka-level!!

WOW :wow: I enjoy reading this, but I just notice few things. Some of the post are intruiging. some try to hide na hindi sila ganito o ganyan but you can read between the lines na judgemental din sila.

i have nothing against filipinos who speak english coz we are here in USA where English is the main language...like me and my hubby we are both filipinos but we went to schools where we speak english a lot and especially me, some of my classmates were foreigners din. BUT and there is a BUT, even if im used to speaking in english here what annoys me most is when you met filipinas or filipinos who you speak in Tagalog to and then reply to you in english and kinda look down on you because you still speak tagalog...last May I met this filipina with an american hubby at a friend's kid's baptism, so the american hubby was like, "come here wife's name, they are from the philippines, talk to them"the husband left her with us...the filipina wife came and I said, "kumusta po" and then she said being all snotty and snobbish - "Im sorry? What did you say?" I then said i said "KUMUSTA PO?"and she was like "OH OH, I AM GOOD... how long how you been here in California?" I replied in tagalog pa rin " Simula pa po 1996 pero pababalik balik pa ako sa Manila kasi dun ako nag aral" she then replied again " Oh that's a long time" and then I couldn't help it anymore, I said "How about you, how long have you been here?" she said, "Since February" I said, being all surprised and kinda annoyed "This year only? how come I speak better Tagalog than you?" hehe she just looked flushed and said looking at me as if im stupid and ignorant " because I speak to my husband a lot and im around American's all the time" my husband butted in and said " eh wala naman po asawa niyo sa tabi niyo eh at kinakausap po namin kayo ng Tagalog, wala pa po kayong 6 months dito di na kayo marunong mag Tagalog " my husband was laughing at her coz she was being very arrogant to me while she was looking at my purse and stuff hahaha...sorry siya, me and my husband ganged up on her.. i know we were mean but we just left her there after my hubby's comment...

also, do you get annoyed when you meet filipinos or filipinas and ask you "ANO PAPEL MO DITO?" hehehe

i really strongly agree with you twinkido,,,if you speak your native tongue to your receiver why respond in engligh and trying to prounce it in american way,,, i am not trying to be vendictive to my co-filipinas here i meet but i was trying to convey what i have experienced knowing the fact that when i ask this filipina----- "ilang taon kana dito" and she responded ----"i am just 8 months here",,, i don't think being 6 months would forget i mean totally forget your native tongue....
