After filing 13 years ago my sister was scheduled for her final I130 interview last week March 25.

Due to a small family emergency she missed her airplane flight to the consulate.

That ever happen to anyone here?

She contacted the consulate and they gave her a email address and got this response.

As a result she is also now asking the difference between a non immigrant and a landed immigrant.

They will schedule a new appointment for her. Probably it will take another couple of months as Montreal is known for being slow due to the number of cases they deal with. She should contact the immigrant visa section at: MONTREAL-IV-DV@STATE.GOV

It may take a while before she gets to hear from them, again they are not very quick to reply to emails either.
