G-325A Residence question

Hello, I am just preparing my forms for my I-130 Petition and have a question about the G-325A. I'm a US citizen who studied abroad for several years on a student visa. Do my residences abroad count towards my last 5 years of residences? I have tried to find similar posts, but no luck! Any information would be appreciated!

Another thing-- I recently received my revised birth certificate as one of my parent's name was misspelled. I'm looking at it and it looks more like the SHORT copy vs the LONG copy. Does that matter? I don't want anything to be wrong!

Thanks to any of you out there who can help!

Hmm..I'm not sure on the residence. I always thought you list your last 5 years of where you lived.

You will likely need your long form birth certificate....or use you passport. You can either use your birth certificate or passport to prove your citizenship for the I-129F......and if you use your passport, you will need to make copies of ALL pages of the passport.

Thanks Johnny for replying. Yeah, my time abroad was during the last 5 years. Perhaps my passport is easiest to bypass the birth certificate confusion! Thanks!
