I couldn't find a specific time limitation from the Embassies web-site in Accra, Ghana. Within six months should be reasonable. Since you have time before the interview, can you have your fiance(e) contact the Embassy and ask them if it is acceptable.

The other alternative is to simply get a new certificate about 2 weeks before the interview.

God bless you and thank you so much for the reply. I will let him know that his current police report is fine. So weird being an attorney i am use to answering everyone else's questions. Feels good to be asking questions and getting help!
