My fiance and I have been waiting in AP for 15 months and this week he received a phone call from the Islamabad embassy to verify he is still engaged and waiting on a Visa. The few questions he tried to ask in return the caller had no information to offer him. We haven't heard anything except 'your on AP will let you know when your not' since it all began. So this phone call seems like really good news, but before I start bouncing off the walls with excitment I thought I would ask if any others have had similar experiences and if your phone call to turn in your passport for the visa came soon after. Please reply if you have had a similar experience as mine from Islamabad.

Thank you!

Topic moved from IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports to K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yeah...that may be a good sign. I got a call yesterday from NVC to just check my number. They called me at my office number and identified themselves and asked me one question. "What is my fiancee's name?".... I answered, they said thank you very much! And today I called NVC and our petition was released from AP and is on it's way to the embassy.

I am sending you a link to a VJ member that the embassy called to verify their relationship. Her fiance was under AP for almost a year. After she verified that they were still engaged, the embassy called the next day and asked for the visa.

He is now in the U.S.

I hope you get that call soon.
