I'm starting to worry our files got lost or something??

We recieved our NOA1 December 1st, and according to the USCIS website, it was last touched Dec4th.

I've been looking every day since then for touches or updates but absolutely nothing. I've also been watching Igor's list daily and it seems like people with dates well after ours are recieving they're NOA2's. What's going on!!??

Even the VisaJourney website says the Vermont offices are now up to December 23rd NOA dates.

Should I be worried? What should I do?? I've been waiting and waiting, but i'm starting to worry now that people with dates well after mine are recieving the're next notices while I get nothing?

Thanks everyone!

VJ has estimates. That is why they are called estimates.

VSC is processing a month (I'd even say month and a half) all at once.

Dec 1st to Dec 31st is all fair game it seems. We saw various dates being approved all at once.

Yours should be quite soon though.

Good luck

I still say 5 to 6 months is a reasonable duration for waiting.

You are under 5 months, so far.

IIWY, I'd be concerned at 6 months + 12 days time tick.

Good Luck !

Oops, looks like I posted in the wrong forum. We got moved. Sorry about that.

I understand it's not been over 6 months or 5 months for that matter. Just seems odd that they don't go in order of recieving. Seems sorta unfair that someone who sent they're stuff in; in 2010 and are getting they're notices before we have. I was just starting to wonder if my package had fallen into a crack somewhere. Guess i'll just keep on waiting. Nothing much more to do.

I noticed Мартышк+Мартышка that you recieved your NOA1 Dec 4th and got your NOA2 March 17. Congrats. Wish I were already in your boat!

Hopefully we get something soon.

I know how crappy it is to see people a month and a half after you being approved. But this is a lottery. There's no fairness to this process.

The same time I was getting my NOA-2 January filers were getting theirs as well, and the trend will always continue.

Pop into the December VSC thread, you will find information and support there.

Hello,

I'm in the same boat as you my friend. I got my NOA1 the same week you did and I have yet to receive anything else from the VSC. I have seen others get theirs lately and I expect something any day. I think we just ride this one out as tough as this wait may be. To pass the time I will head back to China to enjoy time with my girl. I hope we both get ours soon. Have a good weekend!

I am curious where people see "touches". I go and check my status on the USCIS.gov site, but if there is another place to check I would love to know.

Thanks

I am also waiting for the NOA2. My NOA1 was on Dec 14th. I at least recieved a touch on March 17th, so I expected to be approved the next day or two as most people that I am seeing on the forums. But nothing since then, I am also hoping that maybe they just havent updated the USCIS wbesite so each day I am hopeful when I open the mailbox. Hang in there as there may be more of us that have not recieved the NOA2 than it appears in the forums. I just wish their was a better way of checking on the process, or better yet, that VSC reviewed files "first in-first out"!

To see a touch you just look at the date that the USCIS site gives. For example the date on my site changed from Dec 14th (NOA1) to March 17th. Since the status did not change then someone at USCIS "touched" my file. But my status is still the same.

Hi,

I had the same question about the touches. If you click on check your status where you enter your case number, on the left you will see that you can create and log into an account with USCIS. That is where you will see the last date updated, considered a "touch."

I have had some discussions with other VJ members about processing times calculated from VJ time lines. The real problem that makes the processing time an estimate is that a very small number of filed petitions and processing dates are recorded here at VJ. The number of petitions reported here versus the number actually filed by all sources is probably in the 1% to 10% range.

It's not even close to 10%.

For most days it's about 1-2%

On top of it, about third of the people never update their timelines

There is not much you can do now, because you are still within the 5 months timeframe. You can call VSC, but they will tell you that it hasn't been 5 months yet and that you should wait. I know it sucks and is difficult to wait, but stay positive and occupy your time by getting ready for the next step.

Good luck.

I have to say that I'm glad to see this thread. While I am not glad that people haven't gotten their NOA2, I am glad that I am not the only one who hasn't. Yes, I understand that I am not even at the 3 month mark yet, but when I saw VSC blast through a good portion of December filers over the past few weeks, my hopes got up. Checking my email, running to the mail box, etc., makes one very depressed when nothing is to be found. After the latest "spurt"from VSC I guess it is time to hunker back down and just deal with it. This process has been the most difficult and frustrating thing I have ever imagined. There is no "fairness" to this process. We are all at the mercy of people who don't know us and simply look at us as a bunch of forms and some pictures in a bag with names on the back. It'll happen soon. I know it will. We all just have to hang in there.
