DS-3032 email to NVC

ok noob question. I just sent out the ds-3032 email from my wife's email account (the beneficiary) last night to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov, after receiving the AOS/DS-3032 emails from NVC. After sending it, I didnt recieve the automated response and just checked the AVR and it only says that i had paid the aos bill. Question - should I expect an acceptance email from the NVC regarding the ds-3032? I am, of course, planning to send them the hardcopy version as well (as soon as my wife signs and sends it from India). But how long should I give it before calling and talking to an operator to see if they recieved and accepted it?

It's not unusual to not receive an automated response after emailing the DS3032. It should be accepted by next week Wednesday. Your IV bill will show up as available to be paid as soon as it is accepted.

And instead of opening noob threads, why not post in the NVC thread, which I know you've been directed to?

Ok but you're the expert here so let me ask you this - my AOS bill just shows paid and i printed out the barcode form. Ok do I now wait for another email package with the proper form I-864 form (there's quite a few to choose from, but I know which should apply to me ie the i-864 vs i-864 ez)...

Dont wait for another email package. If you know which I864 is you, go ahead and print the form off and get it complete and together and send it off. Make sure the AOS coversheet goes on top.

No need to wait for anything. Your bill shows as PAID? Excellent.

Print out the cover sheet and send in your I864 package. Overnight it. It'll get there on Monday morning.

Do NOT wait for NVC to send you any forms/envelopes or anything. NOT REQUIRED.

2008 Federal Tax Return/W2 and 1099s or IRS tax transcript.

Letter of Employment

Pay stub(s) from the most recent six months

Bank Statements.

Some people are choosing to send in 2009 W2s.

Awesome! thanks guys. actually i've already done my 2009 taxes. so will be sending in 2007 thru 2009 taxes. unfortunately i still have to collate some of these things and fill out the form - will do it tonight and over the weekend and get it off ASAP!

just out of curiousity, DOES the NVC send out another email package after the AOS bill is paid? obviously i'm not gonna wait for it...

Yes, after my case was completed NVC sent me a barcoded coverletter asking for my AOS.

Stupid question - on the I-864 (normal and/or EZ), in the sponsor's household section (# 21 on i-864), it says to add up the numbers. so if you're only sponsoring your spouse, then you would have a 1 in box a (from question 10, ie for your spouse). then you have the 1 in box b for yourself. then it asks to put 1 if you're married - here's the question: it also says dont count anyone twice. so if you put a 1 in this box, arent you counting your spouse twice then? you would end up with a score of 3. what did you guys end up with? can anyone help (just want to avoid calling the NVC and wait hours for a half second answer!)???? thanks!

I thought all EP filing was at nvcelectronic@state.gov

Emailing the DS3032 is also available for non-EP.
