Hi everyone,

In our case,my fiance's father is our co-sponsor,and he is getting ready to send me all his forms,financial docs and tax returns.

Just wanted to know if we would be needing even the co-sponsor's original birth certificate or would a copy of it do?.My USC Fiance has sent me his original certificate already.

I would appreciate a response,thank you very much

Hi everyone,

Once again a question.Ughh!

So my co-sponsor(my fiance's father) sent me all his papers,but since he has not yet filed for taxes this year,he sent the ones from 2006,2007 and 2008.He said that he had some clarifications to do and that he would be requesting for an extension to file,so he would not be filing anytime soon.

What should we do in such a case,since I won't be having his most recent tax returns?

I am looking for a May interview.

2009 tax records will be required for a May interview. Have him send you a copy of his request for an extension, and that should help you.

Yes, you need to prove that the cosponsor is a US citizen or LPR, so a copy of the document which proves that is required. Could be a birth certificate, passport, or in the case of an LPR, the green card...

The petitioner has already established US citizenship with the petition, so not required. The petition wouldn't have been approved.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.
