hey guys! I'm in the American Airlines lounge in Miami waiting for my flight to Aruba, so far no delays so everything is looking good for me to catch the flight to Caracas. Nerves are killing me, my wife said she isn't nervous but that could change and most likely will. I wish there was a VJer in the airport for me to talk to.

Quick question,

Hubby is filling out a new DS230 form & his address does not fit if he wore to type it (you can't make the font smaller in the free version of Adobe). Can he write it by hand & also attach a seperate paper with the question number & the address typed out (just in case they don't understand his writting)?

DS is to be submitted to VFS not NVC.

if your hubby has a copy of the ds 230 1&2 that you submitted earlier at nvc he can use it too (provided none of his personal details have changed since submission at the nvc). but with his original signature on page 2. not a scanned or photocopied signature. and he can write in the date - the date he submits it at the vfs. that will be good enough. this is the one they use during the personal interview.

do not get confused over the editions. they are basically the same edition - (OMB APPROVAL NO. 1405-0015

EXPIRES: 02/29/2012). the numbers at left bottom of page 1 are just the reprint month-year and they dont matter (meant for the DOS inventory purpose).

if he does not have a copy, then he can fill out a new ds 230 1&2 (handwritten or printed will do) if there is no space for the address in the printed version, he can always attach a sheet with the number and complete address thereon. if handwritten, ensure that the details are legible, especially the u.s. address - as they will be picking up this address for their permanent records/database and importantly - as this is where they will be mailing his permanent resident card (green-card), social security card, etc.

Yeah, when I got up to the window to see the CO hw told me all my papers were perfectly organised, that everything looked great. I was kinda happy I had my jacket hung over my bag so he couldn't see all the sh*t I had with me,haha!
