Morning y'all!! :energy:

It's 8:15am here (7:15 US EST), I just woke up from a very bad night of sleeping and I'm already nervous!

Couldn't sleep too much last night, and when I could I was waken up by hubby's coughing. He is feeling like #######! I bought him syrup for cough and cold medicine, but I think it will take a couple of days till he feels better... poor thing. :(

Since he slept all day long yesterday, I gotta pack this morning.

We are leaving to go to the airport at noon. :dancing:

Soooo.... let's get this party started!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jest:

Good luck to all of you! I'm sure you gonna do great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do we need to bring a new i-864 to the interview or we can just bring a photo copy of the i-864 that has been sent to the NVC?

I'm bringing a copy. You can always bring a blank one in case you need to fix something. This way you can do it right there.

My Hubby went to the VFS office in Delhi today. Humm I am very confused.. But I guess that is normal. He took along with him a new DS-230, Medical, passport photos, passport, copy of passport, copy of MC, copy of BC, copy of BOTH PCC's. The VFS told him that since he had submitted all his original documents to the NVC that it wasnt required that he submit anything to the VFS office, they only took the DS-230, copy of his passport, 1 passport photo and his medical and told him to take all the other copies with him on the day of the interview. The VFS then gave him a reciept and put a barcode on the last page of his passport. They also told him to carry his x-rays with him on the interview day. Something that the VFS had that I am not sure about was this list.. it had my Hubby's name on it.. and It was kinda like a check list... and it was asking for everything that he brought.. like marriage certificate and next to it was typed missing.. so the the VFS person drew a line through it and wrote already submitted .. ??!!??

While my Hubby was at the VFS office he met a guy that told him he had gone through the interview process at the Delhi embassy < > This guy had ALOT of advice for him. He had gone through a K-1 visa, and his fiancee had attended the interview. The first piece of advice he had for my Hubby was.. On the interview when they ask you what you are going to do in America... Dont answer go to school/ or work.. because they dont want immigrants comming to america and making money...:rofl: OMG... I was like almost screaming at my Hubby... This isnt right... DONT listen to him... I corrected him, and told Hubby, that the US doesnt want you to come to america and be a public charge and get on welfare, foodstamps etc... this is why I had to do the I-864 <AOS> for you... Hubby was real slick and was like I know darling I am only telling you what this poor guy was sharing with me.... this is what his LAWYER told him... ohh well... this guy also told him that his fiancee attended the interview and actually when it came to the interview they only interviewed her and approved them without any issue... so this guys main advice was to take your spouse to the interview at the New Delhi Consulate... <sigh> you know I have always planned on attending the interview as a silent cheerleader... just like some moral support for Hubby... I even figured they wouldnt let me around him and I would find me some shaddy corner to sweat in... but... I didnt think that they would actually ask me any questions.... After all this ####### I have been through... doestn my Hubby have to do ANYthing????? hehehehehehe just kidding... idk... cant wait to have all this behind us

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

well, if it was anything like what my wife did, he probably ran around a whole bunch trying to get his BC and PCCs. those are NOT easy in any sense of the word!!! especially something as rudimentary as a BC - i'm sure everyone has their stories of ridiculousness (esp if you're coming from countries where record keeping is a perk, not a requirement!). My wife went thru absolute hell getting her BC. I give her all the credit for coming this far (with God's help) and providing all the docs and doing everything all alone. all i had to do was put everything together and not screw up!

my advice on what to tell the CO would be: I'm going to the US to join my husband/wife and live a happy life with them. We love each other dearly and just want to be together. very simple
