Wifes CR1 interview is Thursday May 13th in Montreal. Received an email notification a couple weeks ago but haven't received a packet in the mail yet, don't know how long that usually takes.

Anyway, we plan to arrive a few days before and get the medical done on Monday. Staying at the Days Inn downtown.

What a long journey it has been..

Hi Guys,

For those whose consulate is Mumbai.....Thought of sharing this info...Just now checked the Appointment schedules for May....They have scheduled staggering 75 CR1 interviews for the month of May....Mindblowing....Good going Mumbai...

Well hello May interviewees!!

I'm jealous ... looks like no May interview for me. Apparently only one of our packages has been entered into the system and the other is AWOL but they can't tell me which one ... ba$tard$.

Hotel room reserved. Airline tickets bought. Leaving on May 11 for Bombay. Returning on May 12, late night. Hopefully with passport and visa in hand! :dance:

Haha. I was thinking we should set up a support group during the interviews with specific times so that we can all log onto VJ and calm down stressed nerves of the waiting USC spouse. Then we get to cheer with jubilation as the approval news trickles in.

Hello, all. An update: AVR says that our package was mailed to the consulate last friday. DHL tracking puts it in their mailroom today, thanks to "Easter Monday" holiday yesterday. I spoke with our case worker at the consulate today! He seemed like a really nice guy. He said that our papers are probably still waiting to be sorted in the mailroom and that it won't help to call before next Tuesday. Still hope though, he said that although the beginning of May is filling up fast, the end of April is still relatively open for interview dates, we just can't plan anything until they have our papers. So I will give him a call next Tuesday and see what happens. These folks provide more suspense than an Alfred Hitchcock movie...
