For people like Vanessa going through Casablanca and Cheronda going through Lagos, it is a whole different game. Even for those of us going through nicer places like Bangkok, the advice that body language trumps physical documentation of an ongoing relationship is not likely to be received well.

Thank you again, though, for your encouragement for us to be calm. That is something we could all stand to keep in mind.

So true! I'm so nervous that I don't know WHAT or HOW to prepare! I have loads of im's and phone records but what does that really prove to a CO heCKbent on denying a person? I'm still debating my "evidence package". I went through USCIS only providing a copy of our marriage certificate and two affidavits so I understand the logic of less still being effective but I just don't trust the CO's in Lagos to appreciate the veracity of our relationship by just looking at the marriage certificate and a few photos!

amen to that! given the fact that i just dropped ~ 1200 bucks on goign and seeing my wife, summer tix prices are sky high. a OW ticket for my wife and RT for me is putting me at 2200 bucks (and yes, i know i dont have to go, but i dont want to just tell my wife to get on a plane alone; i want to help her move, given that its probably the biggest move [literally!] she's ever made in her life!). at this point, i've realized that starting a family and having my wife here with me is all way more than worth anything and everything. i do know that all this nonsense will end in a couple of months and things can be sort of normal after that. i dont think you can ever think about the money aspect of things, cuz it'll just end up being depressing. c'mon normalcy!

everyone else.. ya'll be'z cracking me up!! I totally agree Tat.. this is the place to come to freak out, stress out, vent, cry, agonize, organize, mend, break, crack up, flip out, go beserk, rave, unhinge, and just totally uncontrollably wig the eff out!!

so all my VJ peeps... Trying my best to stay calm and realxed... kinda hard with all these heart palputations.. I did call the exterminator so all the butterflies have been removed from my tummy.. if anyone else is having these same issues I have a quick remedy called 5 shots of Jack Daniels

I think you might want to stay away from Jose Nat. I know back when I was a drinker, the very last thing that tequila did was sedate me. You're more likely to wake up wearing someone elses' clothes 200 miles from home with a hang over that lasts for a week . How's everyone doing?

Hubby plans to go to VFS on the 11th & interview is on the 25th, is that okay?

Also, he called them & they told him to bring copies of his birth certificate, PPC's, etc

Does that sound right or?

For Mumbai, you can go to VFS 3 days before the interview since he's a local. Yeah, that sounds right -- about the documents they want. Make sure he takes 2 pictures, DS230, and the medical and the interview letter. And photocopy of his passport along with the original.

To all--Sorry I was MIA last evening. I had to go get my wisdom tooth extracted last night. The injections were painful but I didn't feel a thing after that. I was hopped up on pain meds so I crashed right after I got home and slept for 13 hours straight. Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts!

Thank, Kev. I am. The tooth was growing really awkwardly and cutting into my cheek causing massive unlcers. At least, the source of inflammation is now gone and there is no visible sign of swelling. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Very well put, in those 10 minutes, nothing else exists. Just the two of you, the CO, and your miraculous relationship that has sustained the test of distance and time. We are the stars for those 10 minutes, and I plan to ROCK this! Because nothing else means more to me than my Beloved, whom I love with wreckless abandonment, for whom I will fight for to the bitter end with tooth and nail. A lot easier with 3 weeks left until our interview, but my prayers for those in HeAT 2... GETTER DUN!!!!
