I received the P4 from Mumbai as well, Kirthiraj.

I have to get my wisdom tooth extracted on Friday evening.

BUT 6 days, 10 hours, 10 minutes and 2 seconds till interview!

good luck! btw, did either you guys (kirthiraj and you) get an official interview letter from your respective consulates and tell you to submit docs to your local VFS offices? ie, after we got our interview dates assigned, what is the 1st piece of correspondence you receive from the consulate? kirthiraj, i'm assuming this is the 1st piece of mail you've rec'd from chennai? my wife and i are wondering when we will be told to submit docs to our local VFS. she just got her local police PCC today and so now we're set in terms of having all our docs in hand. sach, did you get a letter saying you have to submit docs to your local calcutta VFS? thanks

p.s - i suppose i can email chennai about it...also, i know that packages have left NVC to consulates all over the world, including chennai. but how do i know when mine's been sent? do they send out the packages AFTER the interview date has been assigned? ie should i track dhl after the end of, say next week or this week?

Yes, the P4 is basically another confirmation of your interview date sent by the Consulate and a bunch of PDFs which is already available on the website was mailed to me on 04/05. I received it via airmail on 04/15.

Packages are sent out after your interview date has been assigned by NVC.

I had couple of mini heart attacks while he was telling me the story. Thought if they push out the interview, he might now have enough time before getting a visa and his flight... Ughhhh

I got the appointment letter as a soft copy and the photocopy of it will serve the purpose.....Yes, the letter which I got today was the only mail from the embassy and there is no indication for me to submit any docs except the Fee to the VFS here....I think those who have thier interview in Chennai need not to produce any docs to VFS instead carry it for the intw.....

sorry i haven't really been in a good mood to come on here because i been busy trying to find someone going to PI so they can take my parent's AOS so they can go back to Manila from the province to turn into the embassy...ugh!...i don't see a point in giving them another "copy" of it because I double checked & triple checked everything...all info is the same and the form is the most updated, i even threw in new paystubs for them but at least they will receive it on may 9th, travel back to manila on the night of may 10th since embassy is closed on may 10th for elections and turn it in to them on may 11th...this is such a hassle for them and a waste of money just for them to travel their...

...i hope everybody is having a better day than i am...happy bday to me

SOOOOO Happy for the 2 approvals :)

they requested they i send them "updated" affidavit of support forms...they original ones i sent was filled up on march 15 i just dont understand sometimes because nothing has changed in our income or forms but anyway they will be getting it on may 9th, may 10th is a holiday there so they can turn it in on may 11th which means they have to travel 8-13hrs to get from the province to manila then travel back home the same day...its such a hassle

hi, we had more than enough evidence and what not but i guess the CO wanted to be an a$$ & make things harder for them since they requested for an interpreter because they couldnt understand his english well but god bless him...these are only trials and we will soon be over this...at least its not a denial

Hang in there, I know it's harder when you feel like you are at the end of the road, but they keep coming up with ways to extend the process.

thanks kevin! my parents were interviewed 3 times: 1-strict filipino lady prescreener who asked them for their name, age, petitioner, how petitioner got to US, wife of petitioner, & # of kids of petitioner, birth certificates, marriage certificates...then they asked where is their passport & medical?...parents told them that st. lukes was supposed to forward that to them weeks ago so they had to wait an hour for the embassy to contact st. lukes to get their stuff.

an hour later...fingerscanning and another interview w/this nice american lady who could speak clear english, tagalog, & ilocano just asked for name, age, and name of petitioner then they were told good luck for the last interview.

final interview w/CO was this american lady they could not understand her english so they asked for an ilocano interpreter...they swore in, asked name, age, petitioner, # of kids of petitioner, pictures then was told congratulations on getting visa approved pending they receive an updated affidavit of support...they were given a white & blue slip...was directed to go pay Air21 and left to travel 13hrs back home to ilocos.

12 hours 15 minutes to go. I am so jealous that hubby gets to sleep, wake up and go to the interview while I suffer through the entire day....

I am hoping that them following up on documents is a good sign...
