Im new to the thread and I got my interview date today! It's gonna be on MAY 24 at 7am manila time. Gosh im so nervous! I have almost 3 weeks to get all the required documents ready.

I plan to bring secondary documents like pictures, webcam snapshots, past emails, etc.

Do you think a video of his proposal could help?

Aww... we were thinking of you as well, SPSGUY. When we were at the entrance, I was like "oh god, plz let him in" like that. Thank you so much for all your great tips and advices. At least, I had something to expect of since I got some info from you before hand.

One important question is, "when did your wife go to pick up her visa?" Per the CO, they told us to come pick up our visa on Friday at 11 AM. When did you and your wife collect your visa? and how about the passport? Did they keep it with them after the interview? We just wanna make sure we could get it this Friday, and not Friday next week. Thanks, just hoping you would be checking this thread tmr hehe

That would be an awesome touch but I think most embassies don't allow electronics. I would suggest you check with your embassy first.

I'm glad everything went well for you and Tharnsur. My wife picked it up on Friday at 11. They took her passport at the interview and when she it picked it up the visa was in it. Yes, you will get it this coming Friday. By the way, they will not let tharnsur in to pick up the visa with you. He has to wait outside.

So the visa is never in your hand. Somebody came up with this funny phrase of visa in hand but it's actually in your passport.

If you have Windows Vista, they have these Google gadgets you can add to your desktop. I have about four countdowns running simultaneously. Departure for Mumbai, visa interview, departure for the U.S., REUNION!

Electronic materials are not permitted inside the USEM.

Hi you're pretty close. My hubby will be getting his medical exam on that day in Barbados. My son and I are meeting him there on the 14th and we're all going to his interview on the 18th.

Nope, according to him should not be more than a week. I have decided that the less I know, the less I will stress out.

I wanted to purchase tickets after the interview as well, but I decided not to wait because there was only one direct flight from Europe on the day we wanted him to come. I thought the last thing I need is to have problems buying tickets after the USCIS, NVC and Embassy ordeal.

Well thats good. You purchased tickets about 2/3wks away from the interview so I am sure he will get his Visa by then.
