No, I wanted to wait to get the email with all of the info before emailing the embassy. I just got it late last night. But now I'm going to think about it because calculating the dates .....Albania requires his 1st medical EXACTLY to the day 2 weeks before the interview, which will be May 13th. The second medical EXACTLY one week before the interview which is May 20....Those dates are only 3 weeks away, so I'm thinking it's not worth the hassel for 1-2 weeks earlier interview now :blink: I am a little concerned about our names being on the "pain in the a** list" at such a small embassy. So I'll ask the hubby what he thinks, but I'm leaning towards just being patient after seeing how they schedule the medicals :thumbs:

Nothing important as such. Just an appointment letter confirming our interview on the 12th. A lot of PDFs printed out, most of the stuff which is already on the Consulate website regarding medical, VFS, what to bring, what not to, etc.

Sahinky -do they ask you for the most recent tax for 2009 ??

They told me to have it but my husband has an extension, he's waiting for me and we'll fill it up together.

Now i am confused , is it nececerry ?

I think it is safe to assume that it will be asked for. If he's filing for an extension--make sure you have a copy of it as proof.

Finally Fedexed in all the evidance to my wife. She should have it by Wednesday. We booked her hotels in Chennai. Her medical is on the 1st of May. Things are slowly falling into place one by one. The interview is right around the corner in two weeks.

Next up looking for air tickets. Wify planning to arrive on the 21st May. 30th is her B'day.

hi VJ family,

I am a bit confused about something. The appointment letter had a reminder section which included the following:

IF a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) AND provided the NVC with

proof of an IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax

Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax

Return to the visa interview.

now i did not provide the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal Income tax extension because I sent in transcripts from 06, 07, and 08 and w-2 from 09. Now I did file an extension for 09 because I felt it would be better to wait until my wife gets here. What should I do?

Jaxson-- Carry the 2007, 2008 IRS transcripts. And carry the 2009 extension copy as proof.

Very good! Good luck to her! That's great that she will finally be in US and just in time to celebrate her birthday.

Now bdays, holidays, etc will be spent great as our SO will finally be with us.
