They will direct you which way to go :) For as big as it is, LAX isn't too bad. The international terminal is at the center of a big horse shoe basically. The domestic carriers are on the outside of the horse shoe. You'll have to go outside the international terminal and either take a little bus/van/car to your connecting flight or you can walk (I like to walk). As you walk out of the front doors, American Airlines is to your right and US Airways is to your left...can't help with the other carriers..hahha Google a map of LAX if you need to take a look at it :)

Oh no! I'm sorry, MSP. It's good you sent in the documents they want. I don't think that's the problem, though. Being flagged by FPU at the NVC, I would look over the documents you sent in to them and that you filed with USCIS. Forget the interview at this point. Comb over them. Review the answers to the forms with your hubby. Is there something that wasn't answered correctly? The 221g was related to taxes, did your hubby work while he was here? Is there something in the AOS packet that's unclear? Do a web search for both of your names. Anything pop up? Not that it's comparable to a background check, but that it might show you if there's someone else with your same names. Inquire with your congressman; see if he can get more information. I highly doubt you were given such a crappy interview just because they wanted to see a few pieces of paper. Good luck, hon! Let us know how it goes. We're all here, standing right beside you.

I've gone through all of our paperwork a million times, and I can't find anything out of place or omitted. I am going to do background checks though, because I think the problem may have started at the USCIS stage. It did take them 16 months to approve that, and no one there would tell me why. I guess now I know they had an issue with something. I just have to find out what. I think I will wait the 4 weeks stated on the 221g before contacting my congressman, because they will probably say MTL is within the time period stated.

I don't know what they might have found of course, but that is a longgg time just at the USCIS level! I do know that there are certain names in Vietnam that automatically throw up a flag. So many false applications are made using the same name (ie. John Doe) that when that surname comes up it's just a given that it'll be scrutinized. It could just be something as simple as that - name matches a known fraud problem or a person with a questionable background. It all really stinks MSP and I hope you get it figured out and fixed quickly :)

I only found a total of 38 people with his last name, and hundreds with my first and last. A background check of his name brings up nothing, so I don't know what else to do there.sad.gif

Wow 16 months!!?!!!? cant believe you waited so long!!! you should have put in for service requests and infopass appts right after the 5 month mark and done so quite regularly (i had 2 infopass appts; one after the 4 month mark and 1 after the 5 month mark and my approval came a day after the 5 month infopass appt - they do help in giving a picture as to what's happening since you can actually talk to a real human who can see your files and the workflow of your application). Yea it seems like something was flagged right up front during that process itself...

i guess the lucky thing here is that at least you guys are together with your baby and that may be the saving grace. You WILL come thru this; seems like a stupid tax issue or something and just that you had a crappy CO. Can you stay down in Haiti for the next month or till you get this sorted out??? hope you can...

Ugh, it was so much simpler to be the rock of support for everyone else. As we go into week 4... I am freaking out. I just started today, as I realized as I was buying hubby's interview clothes, that tomorrow is my last shift before my trip, and that these are his interview clothes. Plus a whole lot of other stressors involved, financial strain of paying bills and rent, buying plane tickets with no help financially from anyone. Its all just starting to sink in. I exploded on the phone with hubby, and the poor fool is just so calm. what the eff, it is HIS interview, not mine and I feel like In going to throw up x 10. So I asked the ultimate question that we all want to know and no one wants to ask... "if the shoe was on the other foot, would you have done the same" Being a smart man, of course he said yes, but I just feel so alone sometimes while everyone is so concerned about how he will adapt, and his family is all freaking out because he's leaving. Its hard to be type A sometimes, and be in control of something you have no control over. I guess I'm just exhausted and for the longest he has been my outlet of exhaustion. I dunno, maybe I just needed to vent. more like I really need to scream. I feel somewhat guilty, as I always do when our fights consist of me yelling and him being understanding, like I'm the biggest, most selfish b!tch in the whole world. :bonk::crying: Now I just feel stupid.
