Hello Everyone,

It's been so long that I disappeared, but I hope some of you still remember me. I have finally arrived in the US with my husband a few days ago. Moving to live is not a simple move for me, so this is one of the reasons why I haven't got online lately. I am so happy for all our VJ family with the flood of approvals, though some still awaiting for their Visa. I wish all the week 3 interviewees all the best.

Best Wishes,

Tharnsur & BB

PS. FYI, this is BB. I'm using my hubby's ID :)

Welcome to US!!!

Hey Everyone! I just logged on to let you guys know the not so great yet not so bad news...Hubby has to do a I-160 waiver, I have to do a hardship letter, and my mom needs to fill out a I-864a form. I've done all of that and I'll be sending it back to the Embassy in Barbados on Monday. The consular said it shouldn't take more than 2 months. She seemed confident that he the waiver would get approved.

Other than that, everything went well. We got to spend lots of time together and we got to feel what it's like to be a real family...physically together.

Congrats to everyone that did get approved. It's just gonna take us a couple of months longer.

Sorry to hear that! Hope everything squares out soon but at least your with your SO.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.... Week Four, the final frontier for the May group!! Hopefully some will check back in and give us updates, otherwise it's Tat first, Amit, me and Jada.....Wahooooooo

OMG Kevin, you guys are off the chain... "throw those papers over in the corner, its the weekend". Classic, and I love the whole "calm the eff down Helga" Very creative, nice that we are able to joke about this now.

And on to more pressing matters...

Gina baby, almost showtime!!!!!

Good luck and God speed Raj

Tat, you kick off the Rock Star week, we gotta make everyone proud... we're all thats left in the May of Magic! Good luck mama, you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh man, its almost depressing that this month went by so fast. How I do enjoy seeing everyone share their experiences. Mrs Wife... yay! Very excited to see you have gotten your tix.

Just one quick and final question, we get to choose our POE right? Or is it assigned to us? I was planning to come through Miami bc thats where I live, which is logical. BUT nothing about this whole effin process is logical. Ludacris at best. Anyone out there? Thoughts? Too bad our guru Sachi is "relaxing" with hubby (although well-deserved)

night all and lets rock this week!!!

Kevin!! OMG! Love, love! "Hand me an RFE. The next caller is getting one." Of course that's how it works.

Waiting, I'm sorry, hon. It's good that it's an easy enough fix.

Holy #######, we forgot Raj is before Tat! Wahooo Raj, best of luck

Tat, on the homepage bar up top it says "Reviews: Embassy/USCIS&POE" Click there and look up JFK. Your POE is your choice, just the first place in the US they land in, even if it's a connection to your final city.

I really wanted San Francisco to be his POE to be romantic and symbolic  but tickets are so crazy & sold out, we may have to have JFK or somewhere else. Don't care, as long as I get my movie kiss in the airport (L) (L)

Hello Everyone,

It's been so long that I disappeared, but I hope some of you still remember me. I have finally arrived in the US with my husband a few days ago. you can enter the u s thru any poe, but its advisable to have a poe nearest to your permanent address in the u.s. for easy and fast and convenient future communications and you will receive the documents faster. no, the poe is not assigned. your conclusion of coming thru miami is accurate for the reason you mentioned. good luck!

rofl.gif Sachi and Vivek are gettin' some before anyone. So jealous!!! And then all the rest of you... Gosh!

Thank you guys for the support. You guys help me calm down so much. I appreciate you. Today is looking like a much better day for Thailand. Hopefully the embassy will open Monday and we can get back to business.

A good travel website recommended to me: www.asaptickets.com You pick your date, then call them. You pick your time. They try to upsell you. You say no. You give them the code on the website and get the price quoted. Tada! $1200 ticket are suddenly $750, taxes and fees included. If any of you use it, let us know how it goes.

I 'got some' too.biggrin.gif

Well the courier delivered Merlaine's visa today smile.gif She was waiting on him to show up so she could go back and get her stamp/sticker from CFO before she leaves Manila. The Thrilla in Manila should be over with now - back to Tacloban in the next day or two. Get that stuff packed up baby!!

Good luck Raj!! Wow, life2live just disappeared...sad sad.gif

Congrats again!good.gif

Ok, so I think I can type without shorting out hubby's laptop by raining tears into it:

We got to the consulate early, first in line. Met VJ member SupportGeek-hop I got that right, he came second. Nobody else came til much later, really long line by the time doors opened. We went throught security, got letter A and were told to wait for the guard to bring us upstairs. We waited upstairs for about an hour, then hubby was called up to window 10. The lady behind the window starting asking for hubby's docs. They had everything, but she kept saying she needed the translation of his birth certificate. He told her she had it, she insisted she didn't. I gave him the additional copy I had, and as she placed it in the stack of paper, right on top of the one they already had! She took hubby's fingerprints and told us to go sit down. About 45 minutes later, hubby was called to room seven. We started walking in, and the lady inside took one look at me and Chellie and said, "No, get out, I just want to talk to him. Go sit in front and wait." I gave hubby the evidence package and waited outside the room with Chellie. 5 minutes later hubby comes out, and I hear fire breathing dragon lady screaming, "No! No time, get out, fin, you take the paper and mail it!" I'm standing right there, so I ask hubby what the hell is going on. He said she needs my tax information-and I tell him it's right there in your hand, go give it to her. He said she wouldn't take it, and said she doesn't have time get out and you can mail it later. So we have to get out. So we are standing right there in the consulate with everything we need to get his visa, and we can't because she won't even look at the information.

So technically, we didn't even have an interview. We went to the post office on the way back to his cousin's place, and mailed the required docs. It said they will take up to 4 weeks to process, and maybe they will let us know if we get another interview date. I had a really bad feeling about the whole thing, because it didn't make any sense. When we got back to the apartment, I looked through some of the papers she had given back to hubby. She returned all of my previous tax year transcripts. I would not have brought this next point up, but I am wondering if it has any bearing on the reason why she was acting that way. On the bottom of the stack is a piece of paper that says: Routing Slip, and it is dated on the day NVC received all of our docs. It reads...From: Fraud Prevention-1, To: File Room. File Room is crossed out, and DK-1 is handwritten in. It has our USCIS and NVC case numbers, hubby's name, and the words 'Case Status: P4. There is a note section that reads "Petition reviewed and flagged by NVC Fraud Prevention Unit". Does anyone have any idea what this means?
