Thank you so much Gina...hang in there it's coming!! I'm going to celebrate right now...right over there in my bed!! It's 1am and I'm trashed. My crazy wife got up at 3am to navigate the transit and jeepneys for her appointment so she's trashed too. More celebration tomorrow when I buy her flight I have reserved :dance:

I am waiting until his approval to book his plane ticket, which is driving me crazy! What website did you reserve her ticket on Kevin? If I can at least get the Heathrow to SFO saved I'd be happy but I don't want to pay a bunch of change flight fees obviously. Any suggestions anyone?

So I packed my suitcase and when I tried to pick it up, the entire handle came off because it was too heavy. :(

Now, not only do I have to buy another new suitcase, I gotta re-pack and leave behind most of the 'heavy stuff.'

I guess my mom will bringing that stuff over when she comes to visit us at the end of the summer!

I am sure you have a lot of stuff to bring with you, but you can only bring 50lbs per bag which you probably know already. They have limited the weight so much. Anyhow have a safe trip to the states :star:

Congratulations to Kevin&Merlaine on your approval   Party time when you both are not so tired, haha.

Hi guys!

Hey Sachi, sucks about your suitcase

Good thing your mom is going to visit you soon! I'm planning to leave some stuff here too for when my mom goes to the US.

It's way too much ####### to take with me! I already told hubby I'll need to use a lot of space in his suitcase! lol

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well and looking forward for more approvals to come!

Nat, when are you flying here? Hubby is going to be here on friday, I've been sick than moving and finally I'm back.... I am having hard time believing that he is coming this week. It's going to be 5 months 2 weeks since we saw each other.

Tat!!!! HOw are you holding up? Getting excited/stressed yet? How is the new place coming along?

Hi Yule! I missed you here!

I didn't receive my passport back yet. The TNT website says "shipment in transit", so hopefully by the end of the week it should arrive.

About flying back, we haven't decided yet. We are thinking somewhere around the first or second week of June. I'm check the prices and dates this week.

I saw one flight by United for $600 each. And the good thing about flying United is that they allow 70lbs luggage for flights to/from Brazil! Yay

Wow, 5 months without seeing your hubby? I imagine how excited you must be! It's hard to believe the immigration process is over isn't? I feel so free now! lol

It's very good. Tickets to/from Brazil are not usually so expensive. I have non-stop option which would take us straight to JFK or one stop in DC that would take us to Newark (which is closer to his parents).

So we'll talk to them this week and see which one is better. Sucks we might have to go trough DC, but at least when we get to the final destination will be closer and easier to get home (they live in Princeton NJ).

I'm very excited to finally go back to the US and get our lives started again. At the same time, so sad to leave everyone behind. My birthday is next Saturday, so I'm planning a party to see friends and have some fun! Who knows when I'll be able to celebrate my b-day again with everybody!

My passport should arrive by the end of the week. I also dreamed about it last night... I dreamed the brown envelope was open and I had to go back to Rio for another interview... so silly!

When are you moving to your new place? So exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Gina :) I used Expedia to find the flight then I called Delta directly. Cheapoair was the same price as Expedia. They let me reserve her international flight. Delta doesn't do reservations for domestic anymore. Kayak was about 50 bucks higher for the exact same flight. I usually use Priceline for my flights but you can't book a flight that originates outside the US with them or Travelocity.
