i appreciate your staying back even after your approval and supporting the remainder of this months interviewees. i have observed here that most people just disappear after their approvals. i have also observed that some of the members left to be interviewed are approaching their mental breaking point and are not able to handle the pressure too well and i just hope they do not mess it up, for their own sake. i think we ought to be accountable and more responsible to bring in all the members on this topic, home, to america - with advise and support and the necessary emotional hand-holding. especially those who have already been interviewed and more so because before our own interviews, each one of us opined on pure speculation. but after our experience at the interview we are in a better position to advise the remainder of the interviewees more accurately. we also know that at this point of time, they need most is the emotional support to calm down their pre-interview jitters/nervousness so as to be in a better position to face the interview and get thru.

thanks! and God bless and wishing you a great future.

Thank you so much! I'll definitely stick around till everyone of our group is approved!

LOVE LOVE MY HUBBY!! (L) (L)

No worrioes hunny, 10 minutes of fame remember??? The 27th is our day to make our dreams come true. Think positive and it shall be that way. Im getting stoked as each day gets closer to show everyone whom we come in contact with that day just how our miraculous love has survived this long. Big deep breaths, and I love what Gisterb mentioned earlier... if you freak out and are nervous you will only mess up the words... or something to that effect. Calm, deep cleansing breaths, we will get through this together.

Its been 3 weeks since my wife re-applied for the Passport PCC at HYDERABAD-INDIA. Just cheked their website and her case status hasnt been updated since the date she applied :( :( :( ( I don't even think they sent it for police verification, since we found out that city police hasn't received her case yet.... ) first of all they dont need her verification cuz she had 3 verifications already in less than 7 months...

I hate this HYD passport people... morons don't know what they doing..... taking forever to give a pcc, forget about giving atleast they should update their website once a week....

She is going to the passport office tomorrow for the inquiry... the line for it starts at 6am..office opens at 9:30.

** Every where I read it clearly mentioned that PCC is valid for 12 months for Indian citizens, but i have written E-mail(s) from Chennai IV that they have to within 6months only.. to-be safe side i told her to apply again, now here we are :(

Chintu, i'm wondering if you might be overdoing...your date is on june 29th, right? when were your PCCs obtained? if after december 29th, then i think you're ok. i really hope your wife doesnt have to go thru the horrible passport office again - I know what my wife went thru for bangalore and she had to go back thrice, standing in the hot sun and dealing with the a-holes there...altho at least bangalore was better than hyderabad. please check your PCCs properly; chances are you may not need to obtain another one...

on the other hand, i got the run around myself from the f*****n indian govt. they have started this new ridiculous process where people of indian origin who are now US citizens (who by virtue of becoming US citizens renounce any prior citizenships by default and publicly) (without even telling anyone) have to now pay 175 bux to get a renunciation certificate or no one will be granted OCI, or visas or anything like that. so this now applies to people with EXISTING visas and people who have already been granted OCI status, now have to pay up money for this stupid certificate. 175 bux on top of all else...it wouldnt be so bad if they had told us this a month and half ago when i applied for OCI. now that they already granted me OCI (cost 275 bux), they want another 175 bux for this stupid certificate, or basically i cant go to india for my wife's visa interview. not that they really put any of these details on the indian consulate website which they conveniently change on a f*****n hourly basis. as much as I love my native land India, this is exactly why even 100 yrs from now, India will still be in the dark ages...total and utter incompetence...no wonder the enormous brain-drain where any one smart in India realizes that they can only progress when they get out of the Indian system. sorry for the venting guys, but its been a rough last few days (2 wasted trips to the consulate at this point, b/c they change their requirements every friggin hour)...

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni
