So hubby went to VFS & turned in copies of police clearance (2 from India) & 1 from Dubai, his birth certificate, new DS230 Part I & Part II, passport pictures, paid the courier fee & fee to use the lounge.

His Dubai certificate has an expiration date on it (actually not an expiration but just stating its valid for 3mo only) so the lady at VFS started writting something on it which he actually stopped her saying what are you doing. When we submitted the certificate it was still valid and per the website on the internet its good for a year so she said sorry & didnt write nothing.

Should we worry that hubby will have a problem at the interview?

He also mentioned that he hasnt been back to Dubai in 2yrs now.

Also he said they didnt put any sticker in his passport but did give him a receipt that states everything that he submitted. Should we worry about that?

P.S. He also had our daughters birth certificate & the lady said she didnt need it at VFS because Gisele is in US & visa is for him. Is that normal too? I told him to make sure to bring it to the Interview.

--Should be fine with the VFS receipt. The sticker is basically a confirmation of the fact that he paid the courier fees. He did get a receipt for the fee, right? He needs that if he plans to pick up the passport in person from VFS.

--There is no reason Gisele's BC would be required for VFS as she is not a visa applicant. He should carry it to the interview as proof of bonafide relationship.

Guys, I'm sooo happy our team is getting approved without any hold ups!

We are hanging in here since February and it's soooo great that all of us are getting approved.

May is being such a great month! I really hope we can keep the ball rolling.

Gina, thanks for updating the list! I'll only be able to have a break from VJ when all our people get approved! I think Juls and Kari are the last ones (June). I'll only rest after I'm sure everybody is done

I can't leave you guys just yet! (L)

Anyway, just came back from the beach! Sunny day! Had a great time with hubby!

We'll go out for dinner in a few hours. I still can't believe we don't have any immigration stuff to do! I feel so free!

Have him call the Consulate on Monday and clarify. They're open 2-4 PM.

Will do. But where did you get that info that PCC's are good for a year. Is there a site? I also was told by NVC that they are good for a year but they don't matter at this point as its the CO we have to deal with.

I checked with the Consulate thrice before the interview since mine was crossing 6 months.

Also, I think the Delhi website states it's valid for 1 year. Or could be Chennai. Or Mumbai. It's there. Somewhere.

I am getting so stressed out now as its not the weekend & hubby cannot find out that info till Mon. I feel so drained! I HATE THIS PROCESS!!!!!!

my case has been completed since may 1 and i still havent got an interview date for may yet. should i be worried? my consulate is new delhi. i hope i find out soon. anyone who is going to new delhi consulate get a date yet? please let me know because i worrying now that my date wont be till july. thank you

dominicana pc says that are only valid for 30 days but for immigration stuff it's valid for 6 months

Tat, Brazilian's PCCs are valid for 3 months, but the Embassy accepts for one year.

why dont you guys relax for the interview?? since your husband has submitted the required papers to the vfs and received the receipt - he is good for the interview. ok? forget about the small things like the sticker on the back of the passport. they are just logistic stickers for the vfs. not the applicant's concern. you got the receipt for the documents submitted and the cash receipt, that means you are good for the interview (please take the vfs document receipt and the cash receipt to the interview). now you have pushed the envelop - so there should not be much for you to do but just prepare for the interview. just go thru the ds 230 info and prepare on and around it. if you think you havent submitted enough documents to the nvc or vfs, carry them along to the interview. if that will put your mind to rest.

about the police certificates, here is the link from the mumbai consulate and it is also included in your packet 4 instructions (if received) : http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/media/pdf-visas/info_sheet_packet_4.pdf

see in the section : police reports. they say police certs are valid for one year. extracted : "These certificates are valid for one year from the date of issuance". regarding dubai certificates - i think since he hasnt been to dubai for the past 2 years - the ones you submitted are good enough. i think they are mostly interested in your recent indian certs and they are the ones that will matter most to them.

so i guess, at this point of time you both should take it easy now or....................... . all the best!!
