Yes you can do your medicals in Hyderabad. You do need your passport on the day of your Medical exam. Hope you get your PCC soon. I heard Hyderabad passport office takes about 30-45 days to issue the PCC which I think is pretty messed up. Hope what I heard is wrong. How much time did it take you first time around?

The first time it took only 14-16 days since my wife's passport was issued in Sept/2009 (pcc in Nov-2009). I dont know how long it will take this time. I told my wife to submit the city police pcc along with the application, hope that would help( since it has the J.C.P Hyd city signature )

Hyderabad passport office is messed up. You have to go around 5 am and stay in line in order to get inside the building and she told me that lot of people sleep there all night out side the passport office. I hope and pray that she will get the passport soon...

I hope it will be faster this time since you already have a PCC stamp in your passport 6 months ago.

Guys you are really amazing!!!!

Thanks so much for rotting for me!

And Juls, I really enjoyed my 10 minutes of fame with the CO!!! hahaa

Hubby thinks the CO was surprised with me. I think he had too much people shaking nervous all day that he liked we were just fine!

I was nervous the whole 5 hours waiting. But when I got back from lunch, I was so tired that I gave up on being nervous.

Hubby was nervous though! Poor thing, he said he sat there and couldn't believe I was so confident.

What I want to say is, when God put his hands nothing can go wrong. We find straightness to go through this process and everything is soooo worth it!!!!!

I'm very excited for the upcoming weeks!!!!! I'm sure everyone here will be fine. We are soooo well prepared! Don't let the nervous trick you! Be confident! Nothing can go wrong!!!!

Now, let's root for our friend Marianne (Matt and Rian). She is being interviewed now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny about your hubby how tables turned. But so glad you are done & over with & yes GOD is to be thankful too!

if you read the packet 3 or 4 instructions it says : police reports - "Applicants whose passports were issued within six months of the visa interview may present just the passport office certificate. These certificates are valid for one year from the date of issuance."

just check and confirm this info. in this case your previous pcc is good to go. from the consulate's view - i think the validity of any police report for the consulate is one year. but please do check and confirm before taking any action. if the above is right it will save you a lot of time and grief.
