Here is a copy of the I 129f in MS Word format. All you have to do is create text boxes for all of your text, and set the background of them to "transparent" and the frame to "none". Now you can enter ALL of the information and if it doesn't fit in the boxes just shrink the text!!!

Just be CAREFUL and review this document with the PDF document download on this site to ensure that you didn't delete anything.

A person would need to be extremely cautious using this. Why isn't there a box at #7 on the right?

I agree!!! if you don't know what you are doing DON'T use this. If you do use is compare check EVERY inch of it to the original PDF document. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great... my fiancees x husband name is one letter to long to fit in the box, I don't know if this matters but I would really hate to hold up the whole process for ONE LETTER.

sorry - what's the source of this document?

you didn't say.

You should name the source of the document.

This wasn't stolen, by chance, was it?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Again, why is there no text box at number 7 on the right? The PDF has one.

There are other problems, as well. The titles for section 3 and 3a are the wrong font size (way too small). The bar code at the bottom of page 1 is missing. There are also numerous minor misalignments. It's also somewhat difficult to read, with all of the table boundaries.

I'd feel more comfortable using the 'official' form from USCIS.

Why bother to go through all the trouble of checking doument formatting and printing when you should be focusing on the document content!

If something does not fit into a box on the official pdf form, just simply type in "see supplement add a supplemental page. Its the accepatable and proven method and its done all the time.

I don't recollect reading anywhere that it says "recreations of official govenrment documents is acceptable"!

Seems like too much trouble and could potentially cause massive hiccups if even one thing is off.

Like others here said, I would suggest using an official PDF form and supplement sheets if needed. It's been proven to work just fine for everyone.

ONE mistake in formatting in this document might cost you an RFE, for example

Security properties of the PDF state you can't change the document (you are), document assembly (you are), Page extract (you are), creation of Template Pages (you are).

So, IMO - using this form would be "bad".

I am curious why you would think making the form in Word format would make it "a lifesaver"? The provided pdf (fillable) form all ready saves you time and effort.

Doing all the formatting on the fly, missing items, font size - seems like more work and a great chance to screw up the form.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

OK... I re-though this and I agree... to much room for error... the attachment has been removed (sorry)
