Hi Everyone,

We are currently in the process of putting together my husband's AOS package and wanted to know if and what evidence you must include with the I-485 (AOS). I have tried looking on the forum for information but just saw what you need for the interview. Must we include pictures, proof of common residency, and joint account info with the package? Is it similar to the evidence needed for K1-visa process? Thanks for any help :)

You don't need to include any evidence in the initial package.

All you have to send is the forms and the supporting documents that the forms ask for.

Yes. If you get an interview, they'll want to see some relationship evidence. But there's a good chance you won't get an interview (50-60%, at least), and you'll have several weeks warning, so don't let gathering evidence delay your AOS application. The only "relationship evidence" needed for the AOS application packet is the marriage certificate itself.

DON'T PANIC

Applicants from CA are 99.9 % likely to have an interview.

All the best for your AOS, Rosie+Yu.
