Anyone from Canada apply for a K-1 visa??

If so how long did the process take you?

Are you still waiting?

What were the dates?

What cities did you apply in? (petition in the U.S. and apply in Canada)

I'm trying to get an idea of what the time line will be! Thanks :)

Depends which service center you go through, your own speed in paperwork and which consulate in canada you go through.

Take a look at people's timelines in the Canadian forum who are doing K1....you need to do some research and read the forums...we can't answer everything :)

I don't know whether you're the American or the Cdn.....The USC is the petitioner and applies to one of the service centres....where you apply to is dependent on which state the USC (US citizen) lives in.

Good luck

There are lots of us waiting for K-1 visas here in the Canada forum. Depending on where you live, look for people who are going to Vancouver or Montreal which are the two consulates that approve K-1 visas in Canada. If you are in the east, check out K-1 people waiting for interviews in Montreal

I would suggest going to the end of the thread and working your way back since the current waiting people are at the end. It is a wait but worth it!
