Actually no, I live in a college town. Many of the outlaying roads are at the higher speed limits and traffic is always busy. Oncoming traffic prohibits passing.

I think they are probably all to aware of what they are doing. Seems like you need an intervention in your town. I can't see how it helps cyclists to get respect from motorists if they are deliberately provoking drivers, however, cyclists are incredibly vulnerable to vehicular traffic and it certainly doesn't help when drivers simply can't be bothered to look properly to make sure there are none around. You do know how often motorists ignore the possibility of pedestrians and cyclists when it's their right of way at junctions, don't you?

Most people show how pissed off they are in other ways, saying you would like to kill them implies a complete lack of self control. Moreover, not all cyclists behave in this way so you would do well to try to see them as individuals, unless you want to cause harm to someone who has in fact behaved impeccably.
