Sorry I don't follow you here....

How exactly can a bicycle get in your way if you are driving correctly? If you are aware that they are on the road, you can avoid them, plain and simple.

piss all=nothing

You'd risk jail time for assault just because of a few scratches to your paintwork?

Excuse me!! That paintworks is worth more than their lives!!

If they are not willing to accept, that then get off the road!!

Great, when you do run a cyclist down, I hope they get your tag # so that they can sue you for the medical costs in addition to sending you to jail.

You must live in a very odd neighbourhood if people are doing that unless they are involved in a race. Nonetheless, that's a big target to avoid, surely you can manage that?

Why am I not surprised?

Another one!

What is with the snark? I'm just showing an example of where something similar is already in place and it works.

Unless you just hate Australia.

Provoked to do bodily harm.

It's a viable defense actually.

Try it, I dare you.

With the psychology of our current justice system and how we work around 'moments of insanity' due to rage/provocation, it'd work pretty easily actually.

My favorite ones are "Crimes of passion."

Actually no, I live in a college town. Many of the outlaying roads are at the higher speed limits and traffic is always busy. Oncoming traffic prohibits passing.

And these idiots blissfully ride on...

Go on then, what's stopping you from taking pot shots at cyclists if you would be immune from prosecution?
