That really bites,

that is a really backwards way of doing business at that airport, but at least he will be back with you in 3 weeks, he will finally be back!!!!!!!!!!

1/13/06 TSC rec'd

1/23/06 NOA1 from CSC

1/27/06 - Check cleared

7/10/06 - NOA2

7/14/06- rec'd @ NVC

8/14/06- NVC sent petition to Consulate

8/17/06 - Korean Consulate rec'd Petition

8/23/06 - rec'd packet 3 from Consulate

8/25/06 - sent packet 3 back to Consulate

8/27/06 - got confirmation email from Consulate, they rec'd packet three

8/27/06 - requested interview date via Consulate internet site.

9/1/06 - Checked internet site for interveiw date, it was there

9/25/06 - Interview date - APPROVED

9/28/06 - Visa in Zaeems Hand - YEAHHHHH

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

AOS

3/13/07 - AOS package rec'd at Chicago Lockbox

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

3/27/07 - rec'd Biometrics appt letter - scheduled for 4/20/07 @ 11:00am

4/02/07 - "touched"

4/20/07 - had biometrics appt.

4/21/07 - rec'd letter stating case was transferred to CSC

5/22/07 - rec'd Case Pending at CSC email

6/25/07 - EAD card production ordered

7/7/07 - EAD "touched"

7/7/07 - AOS "touched"

8-6-07 - Rec'd EAD Card in the Mail

5-20-08 - AOS INTERVIEW - APPROVED - PASSPORT STAMPED

7-2-10 - Received 10 year green card in mail

Awww, I'm very sorry for your delay! :( But if it's any consolation, my fiance' passed through JFK a few days ago with his visa and they didn't harass him at all or ask him any questions, so when your fiance' flies in all will at least be well with immigration :thumbs:

9/11/2006: Appointment with Civil Surgeon for vaccination supplement

9/18/2006: Mailed AOS and renewal EAD applications to Chicago

10/2/2006: NOA1's for AOS and EAD applications

10/13/2006: Biometrics taken

10/14/2006: NOA -- case transferred to CSC

10/30/2006: AOS approved without interview, greencard will be sent! :)

11/04/2006: Greencard arrives in the mail! :-D

... No more USCIS for two whole years! ...

sucks that he is now delayed...I'd be in hysterics... try to keep calm ... now you have some extra time to do nit-pick cleaning (trying to see the bright side for ya)

Hachemi went to pick up his tickets today in Algiers and the agent had give his seat away to someone else. Then he turned around and told Hachemi if you give me an extra 100 dollars( in algerian dinar) I will put you on a flight on the 14th. Hachemi did not have any extra money. He had exactly what they quoted him. After he pitched a fit the man finally put him on a flight for the 24th leaving Algiers to Morocco, then leaving the 25th for JFK. The problem is not the Morocco to USA flight, it is the Algiers to Casa flight. It is all booked up. He does have the tickets in his hands for the 24th and 25th. It just suxs that I was so pumped for him to be here next week. Now I got to wait 3 weeks. Hachemi said someone probably came in and gave him extra money and he gave his tickets away. Sorry SOB. :(

Anyway, he is coming not as soon as I want, but Alhamdulillah, he is coming.

I am so sorry for you and Hachemi... I totally understand you...I got my flight for Sept 5, but I called them again and it seems they guy didnt book my flight just made me a reservation, even though I gave him my credit card number...ufffffffff...Why can't anything be easy?

Oh Meriem, so sorry to hear this. Yes, sounds like someone paid more and that was the end of the ticket. But look at it this way, he's still coming and sometimes delays are for reasons, reasons we can't always see why.

Embassy called in April and set the interview date for August 23, 2006

Embassy called on 7-25 and asked Faisal to interview on 7-26 (nervous wreck but prepared)

7-26-06 Faisal is approved for K3 Visa

8-24-06, Faisal arrives at O'Hare Airport!!!!!!!

EAD filed in middle of September, 2006 approved in middle of October, 2006 and husband working

at end of October, 2006!

5-18-07-fingerprinting completed

5-25-07-letter received from USCIS from Missouri asking for proof of income from cosponsor.

Unfortunatly coming back from that area in August if you don't book early is pretty impossible. People leave after schools finish and come back to the US in August.
