In what may be the worst wedding toast of all time, a guest was severely wounded after shooting himself in the head while playing Russian Roulette with a supposedly unloaded gun during a speech honoring the bride and groom, the Daily Mail reports.

A friend of the groom can be seen producing the gun and asking for volunteers to play Russian Roulette in a home video making the rounds on YouTube.

When another guest took the offered gun and pulled the trigger, however, he can be seen collapsing after firing a rubber bullet into his head. Stunned guests can then be seen scrambling as the camera jerks away.

The toast-maker, identified by London's Telegraph as a 33-year-old Chechian man, was arrested despite his claims that it was a prank gone wrong. He says he thought he had emptied the gun of bullets.

Local police have opened a criminal investigation.

Doctors managed to remove the rubber bullet from the victim's skull, but he suffered brain damage and paralysis, the Daily Mail reports, quoting Russian media accounts.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Here is the actual video Gun Idiot (kinda graphic - no blood - you have been warned)

Strange, in the video, you can see he racked the slide back first, does not pull the trigger (there is a clicking sound, appears he drops the "safety" and the trigger appears to move forward, then racks it again, handed it off to another guy, and bang.

Something looks fishy here - like he setup the second guy.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Playing Russian Roulette with an automatic pistol is, well, really stupid. I write this one off to natural selection. If it hadn't been a .32 KelTec he would be completely dead, not just "brain dead". He was brain-dead BEFORE he shot himself.

I betcha that if we want to thin the gene pool, everyone on VJ would be dead.

How do you figure that?

So, it is less stupid to play Russian Roulette with a revolver??

Yes, actually it is only 1/6th as stupid to play Russian Roulette with a revolver, but it is still up there in the stratosphere of stupid things, admittedly

That's not a KelTec. Those don't have exposed hammers nor safety levers. Looks like a Makarov to me.

Well, yes. In an automatic, there's ALWAYS a round on top of the magazine, even if the magazine is only partially loaded. In a revolver, depending on the model, could be none, could be one, could be six or sometimes more rounds.
