Hello all, this is my first time posting so be gentle. I have a few quick question. In Ghana are the packets mailed directly to the beneficiary, or can arrangements be made to pick up the packets? Also how can you track the movement of the case once it reaches the embassy (as far as when the packets are ready, when the interview dates are set), and when/how is the interview date given.

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

According to other Ghanaian applicants, the packets are not mailed, instead you receive a letter in the mail which gives you a date to pick the packet.. Wednesdays Only. 7am til, i dont really know..You can track ur case based on where in the process you are, so be objective.

Interview dates are given based on the embassy's caseload, according to other VJ'ers..but the Gh situation, you pick up your packet on a wednesday morning, has everythg u need to fill, u do ur police report and start your immunizations, ur interview date will be in the packet. If you are approved on that date, you are given a month to pick up..doesnt make sense to me either...i know..and 6 months to leave GH in all..

Hope i helped :bonk:

My husband didn't have anything mailed to him. Instead, I received a letter letting me know he could pick up the packet on a certain date. I can't imagine they rely too much on the mail in Ghana, since not so many people have a post office box.

You should sign up to receive email notifications and track the case online at the USCIS website:
