Took my car in for an oil change this morning... ended up spending over $800. :(

Bought a used G1 phone off Craigslist for $130. It's working so far! Better believe I'm putting some stuff on this phone so if it ever disappears, I can find it.

Damn did you get everyone in the shop an oil change? Just kidding but what did you do?

Hey Everyone....

Feeling good today just came back from my daughter's Soccer class. They are so cute, they don't really listen to their coach they just run around and kick the ball. :star: My hunny was trying to coach; had to calm him down.

Today is the day that I married my true love. He is so right for me. I'm not the most easiest person to handle, but God has blessed him with the demeanor to handle me in more ways than one  yea okay enough mushy stuff. Going back to catch up.

Honesty is the best policy but never use honesty as an excuse to be hurtful.

Oil change ($30), alignment check ($109), struts ($688), replacement key ($164), but I had a 15% off coupon, so that saved me over $100.

Driving from the car dealership to meet the teenager I bought the G1 from, I was thinking: considering how much $ Steven spent in Jamaica & considering how much I just spent on this car, I probably should've gone on and just paid full price for a new G1.

The one I bought has spontaneously rebooted a few times. The phone doesn't correctly interpret the battery status & thinks it is at 0% sometimes. I just ordered a replacement battery online, so we'll see if that fixes it.

ShaNette, that's precious. Has he thought about coaching?

Oh wow, as the saying goes:more money more problems. Hopefully you won't need to spend anymore money on it for a while. Sorry to hear about the phone, did you call that co'worker?

Oh congratulations Shan, I wish you two many more happy years to come

As I read your post I remembered when I introduced G to one of my guy friend and my friend looked at him and said "mane goodluck because she is miserable, I don't know how you deal with her" and it just made me think to myself how thankful I am that he puts up with me and that I need to calm my a** down

LOL DW. I agree. Standing in heels @ club & dancing actually irritates my knee. In my teenage years I had a work related injury to my knee. So at times it's real painful & swells. Poor young me!! I need more therapy.

MrsTee, sorry to hear about your mistake. Hopefully they won't waste time to return it to you so you can once again be on your journey. You'll be fine. It happens to the best of us.

Thanks Mo.. I actually decided to go look on USCIS website because I was speaking to another member and she was saying she believes its okay who I made the check payable to. On the USCIS website, it says to make the check payable to Homeland Security or USCIS so I may be okay. I just didn't want them keeping my money. If I have to send it back thats fine. Thanks for support mi sista.

nat i understand about the costs. I spent 250. I needed new belts, oil change, wipers, and inspection. This was pretty good considering that the dealership wanted to charge me 400 for the belts alone.. ugh cars are work!

Morning, everyone.

MrsTee, where did you get your car serviced? I wonder how much I should've paid for struts.

I was mad cause the only reason I went to the dealer was for the free hand carwash (inside & outside) that is free only if you know about it & ask for it. I drive farther & pay more for that, but they were so backed up that they estimated 1.5 hrs for the car wash (this they told me AFTER I'd waited about 45 minute for it). So I didn't even stay to get it. But the guy working there said come back any time & they'll wash it for me.

Oh wow, as the saying goes:more money more problems. Hopefully you won't need to spend anymore money on it for a while. Sorry to hear about the phone, did you call that co'worker?

Yes. Well, I had Steven call from his phone. No answer & the voicemail didn't have a name. But the caller tune pretty much ruled out almost everyone. I can't imagine older PhD holders having hip hop as a caller tune, which covers over 60 of the 74 people.

If I think about the others, and apply some generalizations (& prob stereotypes), I can rule out more. For example, I doubt my Mormon coworker had a rap caller tune, or the grandmother, or the family man from Brazil, or the guy from eastern Europe.

For oil changes and basic maintenance I go to the Hyundai dealership. One of my coworkers recommended a shop of someone who does "honest" work and thats what i was looking for.

No problem for the support. Anytime!! That's good that their site states it allows checks to be made out the way you wrote it. As always, goodluck
