hi,

i'm applying k1 for my fiance, and I read that I need a copy of the naturalization certificate front and back , but there is nothing on the back, it's blank. My Naturalization Certificate has only one side and the back side is blank. How can i make copy of blank back side? .What is USCIS talking about when saying make copy of front and back of Certificate of Naturalization .

The English is proper. They want a copy of the front and back, regardless of what's printed on it or not. Stop thinking too much and just make a copy of the front and back. That is what they want and that is what they expect you to do.

I photocopied the back of mine because when I looked closer it has a type of watermark U.S seal on it. From afar it looks blank but the seal also showed up in the photocopy. I wasnt taking any chances so I just did as the instructions say and photocopied front AND back.

On all of my documents where they requested front and back, I sent it front and back regardless if it was blank or not. Better to send in too much than not enough.

Naturalization certificate is indeed blank in the back. I just sent in the front, because I felt like sending a blank page wasn't a smart move.

i asked an immigration officer about the same question, she told me you only need the front if the back is blank.

the reason they want the back photo copied is some OLD naturalization certificates also have stuff on the back, but not the new ones, so don't worry about the back if it's blank.

SUGGESTION: Why not make a "two-sided" copy...the backside will be blank AUTOMATICALLY!!!!!!! LOLOL :innocent:

PS You are NOT "applying" for anything...you are "PETITIONING"
