ar11 change of address filed late

I had known from a friend that I have to changed my address and that The time to do this is within 10 days. I feel horrible for any of the consequences its been 40days now that I resided in my new address and just today after knowing the information I electronically filed AR11 to uscis. Can anybody console me? Do i have to faced a severe penalty of any amount,jail, or anything? would i be forgiven by uscis for my ignorance? I really feel so bad

I wouldn't worry about it any more. Make sure you keep a copy of the form. I haven't filed one myself but I understand you'll get a letter as confirmation.

I understand that the 10 days is more to do with if a case is processing at the moment. I also think that if after the 10 days you file a change of address and they send you something it's YOUR fault and they tend to frown on it... though I've never read about anyone getting into trouble for it.

File AR11 now and don't worry about it, really.
