So, got to work this morning - turned on the computer, and was just about to (you guessed it) check the payment portal for 10th time already this morning, when the deputies came by to say, "Exit the building and wait in the front parking lot"

Apparently somebody called in a bomb threat to the court house.

An hour later, we're allowed back in, and I can still sign in...

The universe is just NOT going to cooperate with me today.

Yikes! maybe u should just feign sickness and go home...start w/e early

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni

I really feel like God hates me... I can only see Jamaica being backlogged for May... of all the luck. Ppl getting interviews days after their case complete - February CC get early March interviews, CC in mid March get early May.. and I get stuck with more delays. Is this just a sign? I feel like giving up...

Oh please don't say that. It is very discouraging but you have to keep the faith. When I read about what your husband is going through, it is extremely sad but sometimes we get tested in life. Think of this as the biggest test of your life. Bless!

Good morning, everyone.

Congrats on LIF.

Boo for bomb threats.

Alicia, it's going to be alright, hon. If he doesn't make the interview for May, then he'll get it for June. It'll just make it that much easier for him and the kids to come to the US at the same time. Have you started working on their I-130s and gathering their birth certificates and things like that? By the time you're done with that, you'll have your interview notice for him. He'll get the May interview, babe.

You think so??? You predicted my SIF RIGHT ON.. can you predict our interview date too? I swear you have some skill in that dept... and I thought CRI/Family based visas were given PRIORITY over dumb work visas?????

True... I need to start on the kids stuff. But then that opens up the whole mess with their idiot mother. UGH. I swear if I would have known this was going to be my life, I might have never.. oh nevermind... :(

Speaking of priorities, can I just b*tch about some of the K-1 timelines I see around here? Seriously, their ENTIRE relationship is less than the time I've been married (and I've not been married for that long either) and they get their interview dates exactly 3 months from their NOA1? ARGH.

I know I'm supposed to be "happy for them" but I can't help but be resentful.

Tatyana--The consulate takes calls from 2-4PM. It's easier to get through after 3. Although they won't entertain your calls until your case reaches the consulate and a date has been assigned.

P.S.: Mumbai just responded to our request for an earlier date. Two weeks after the email was sent in. "Sorry, we are unable to pre-pone any May interviews at this point."

That sucks!
