Hang in there girl! I'm right behind you - AVR confirmed receipt of all docs on april 6th (operator says docs were rec'd april 2nd and april 5th, which i'm presuming is the i-864 and ds-230 packages, respectively). seriously c'mon SIF!!!!

My AOS arrived April 1 and DS230 on April 7.

Just called NVC and they show a package received and under review on April 6 (has to be the AOS). Nice lady that I talked to! Said I could call to check any time.

So I am waiting. In some way, this is harder than waiting for USCIS to send the NOA2!

Well, at least we'll be in good company. While I'm hoping for a SIF by tomorrow, I'm guessing it will more likely be Monday or Tuesday.

At least when you called NVC they told you that the AOS was accepted - I just got off the phone with them, and the operator told me she had no info and to wait another 2-4 weeks (yeah right).

same exact thing for me too! operator told me that the info had been entered into the system and files had been created and they were now in review. when i asked if the AVR msg status would change if either the aos or ds230 packages had been accepted, she said no and it would just say case complete.

I hope this means that the interview date will be coming soon! I have been checking my e-mail like crazy, but nothing yet. How do you know when the case is complete for those who have had their sign-in fail and then posted "case complete"? Just curious if I should call the NVC or just wait. But in any event... sign in fail Woo hoo!!!

Nothing yet but i have heard from people that have been threw AP in palestine and the longest has been 45 days so here is hopeing.

Looks like your ontop of things and your husband is smart to update his ID if you were married in Egypt as they want the updated ID, this happened to my husband they told him he had to update before he could apply for his new passport. Dont forget his military completion or exempt letter whatever applies to him.

I don't want to be RFEed or APed...so I asked him to update his ID to married and to get an updated passport and to change the job on both of them. Yeah, we have his military paper too. Thanks for the feedback Sandra!

I finally paid my AOS fee, and resent the DS3020 (VJ format) via husbands' email. We got an auto response with this SECOND email. I think they only accepted the email AFTER they emailed us first. After my AOS payment, my receipt read the following:

If the current payment status is not PAID, sign in to this case again in 2-3 business days to check for an updated status. Once the Payment Status is PAID you must print out the Document Cover Sheet and attach it to the documents sent to NVC. You should then go to the NVC web page for further directions.

So happy things are moving along! Feeling so blessed and productive today

May is going to be a tricky month for me. I want to go to Caracas because my wife is scared about the interview and also she has never been to Caracas and traveling there alone will be too nerve wrecking. On the other hand, my college buddies and I always go away on a trip the last weekend in May, this time we are thinking of Brazil or Argentina. So I want a May interview but preferably early May. :wacko:

Ok, so we know several consulates are pretty backed up. This includes DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, CANADA, GHANA, JAMAICA.

Second week of April is 12-16 since the first "week" only had 2 days in it. To be eligible for May scheduling your case must be completed by April 9. If your case is completed after then, you will have to wait until the second week of the next month for an interview in June. Or you'll get an interview scheduled during the last week of April for June, depending on your consulate's trends.

This is according to usual historical trends. Of course, there ARE exceptions to this. And as Matt has proved, you can even move up your date which so far was believed to be only reserved for dire medical/emergency situations.

So, got to work this morning - turned on the computer, and was just about to (you guessed it) check the payment portal for 10th time already this morning, when the deputies came by to say, "Exit the building and wait in the front parking lot"

Apparently somebody called in a bomb threat to the court house.

An hour later, we're allowed back in, and I can still sign in...

The universe is just NOT going to cooperate with me today.
