If NVC hold message were accurate:

"Your call is NOT very important to us - we've answered the same question 1000 times already today", "Thank you for calling! Our staff is randomly taking calls between cups of coffee and discussions of who their favorite American Idol is." "When we return to the line, please just give us the case number, Petitioner/Beneficiary name and date of birth, and accept the answer, 'Call back in 2 weeks'" "Please hang up, we're tired and cranky. If you choose to remain on the line, an operator will assist you...unless they don't." "We don't care that your time is valuable, thank you for holding, frustration is just a moment away"

Hello All,

I paid online AOS on 4/06/10 and today it shows paid. Tomorrow, I am gonna print the cover sheet and mail them aos documents. Question about IV fee bill, Is it ok to pay now? It shows not paid on site, Should i wait till it says generated? Is it too soon to pay? Should i wait for email from them like for AOS? Please share ur experience......

I wouldn't be paying it until you receive the invoice via email, even though it is showing as available on the portal.

Geez - I go away for 5 days and come back to 66 new pages! ARG! I don't know when I will have time to catch up, since I have to catch up at work tomorrow. (Silly people think since they pay me to be there, I should concentrate on what they have for me to do - go figure!) Honestly, wouldn't have left you folks, but went to see Hubby for a few days (we are blessed that we can see each other every 3 - 4 months).

Can anyone throw a shortened version on what has happened? Bears, Kevin, grats on your LIF. Also, not sure when the last updated list was, but can someone link it? I can finally be added, we emailed the DS-230 on 04/06.

At09---Eeeks. Don't wait. It's showing as available to be PAID? Then go right ahead and pay it. We all did it. It'll clear by tomorrow (around 24 hours) and you can send in your DS230 on Saturday--NVC will receive it by Monday. By the time the payment clears, you'll have the email in your inbox. No biggie.

Looks like your ontop of things and your husband is smart to update his ID if you were married in Egypt as they want the updated ID, this happened to my husband they told him he had to update before he could apply for his new passport. Dont forget his military completion or exempt letter whatever applies to him.

On another note im the second shift crazy gal that is reading the past few pages of making me Laugh out loud. So question, im out of the loop. How do you know when you get a lif, is that just going to the website and trying to put in a case number and invoice number. Did I get that right?
