Finally able to register for classes and check the e-mail from the advisor.

She says it's right. If you don't owe and can show extenuating circumstances if required, then you can hold off filing without requesting an extension. She says it's safer to request an extension. This does not exempt you from the filing requirement; it simply extends the due date to October 15. She warns that this may become an issue if you have problems with the IRS ever. It could look like a "history or inconsistent or late filing" which could cause difficulties for future extension requests or settlements. Other than that, standard eligibility rules apply.

Are you still in school? bachelor/MBA/Dr. Kari?

Hey everyone :) Alicia, I'm so sorry about Vegas trip, I wanted to do something along the same lines myself - get us tickets somewhere when he comes here, and then decided to wait until we actually have visa in hand. Too much at risk. But I think that even if we don't go anywhere, just being together again after about half a year would be so amazing that I am willing to spend it just chilling in the apartment...

No as far as us getting our interview dates I am very  about not having an email yet.... I mean I can't imagine them scheduling all the interviews during second week only, Unless they have a little Santa Shop with Elfs who just dial different embassies all day long for a week.... Sooooo with that said, now instead of clicking refresh on the payment portal I keep refresh in my email.... :bonk::help:

Tatyana, I am not going to Armenia for the interview either, too expensive and quite pointless because just the flight alone back and forth would take 3 days.... I was planning to fly there if there would be a hold up processing our papers, right now, I'm just hoping and praying that he will be here end of May....

You're FINE!!! I was thinking south africa for world cup, my dad's side of the family is all over there. My man is a HUGE soccer guy. But those tickets would be off the charts expensive :( So I was thinking fly to vegas for night or 2, rent a car and go show him the grand canyon (L) (L) (L) SO romantic.

Really girl, sit and think the he** you were in one month ago, March 7th....... LIFE IS GOOOOOD now. NO MORE NVC! Next week is the second week, so I think only the extreme exceptions are getting scheduled now.

For the DHL haters, package was delivered this morning :P :P :P:dance:  I have no idea what that means   but seems good to meeeeeee

I refresh mine and hubbys all day long too!

About the second week. I'm sure they have some sort of system that they just input the case # into it, and it sends the schedule to the Embassy. Maybe they have a few people doing that? Maybe they separate per region? Latin America is one person in charge, Europe another, bla bla bla....

I don't know... just guessing...

I'm also very  for not having the date yet. Oh come on, just send it to meeee!!!

I wish Mr. Sachinky could be here for the interview but given that earlier he didn't even remember WHEN our interview is scheduled for, it is probably best that I navigate this alone. (Plus, USC petitioners aren't allowed inside and I doubt he'd get time off.)

I yelled at him, "MAY 12, MAY 12, you can't remember such a simple and important date?"

He replied that in between remembering my birthday and our anniversary, some things were bound to slip his mind. :bonk:
