Sachi,

About the evidence, I just used what we have as of now. Cards and letters going back to '07. E-mails going back to '06. Phone records from '07. Receipts and a copy of my passports. Pictures. No chat logs, because of the virus. It sucks about the chat logs, because those go back to '05 when we started talking. But it should be alright. I'm not going to ask Husby to update anything. We hardly e-mail or chat anymore. We won't have any new pictures. And my phone bill for April won't come out until the 20th or so of May. I'm thinking it will be alright. We've got a solid record of communication and relationship building for 4 years. If they want records showing we started talking in '05 then he'll just have to tell them about the virus. There's no way to get them back. I'd hope they wouldn't deny a visa just for one year's worth of records when we have 4 others to show them.

So I think no updates are fine. And updates are fine. You're the one interviewing; you're the one that needs to feel comfortable with it all.

guys, just curious,

but does the spouse have to bring some form with them to the customs guy when the enter the country? like an I-90 or something?

we don't file anymore paperwork for 2 years, then it's only the change status form?

They'll get a big envelope of stuff with their visa. DON'T OPEN IT! It'll get handed over to customs. Customs will also want the standard declaration form. I can't think of the name. Other than that, you're good. Green card will come in the mail. If you checked to apply for SSN on the DS-230, that will come in the mail, too.

Mark your calendars for 90 days before the green card expires and start saving all your bills and Christmas cards and letters to him and you that come to your address.

Oh no, Kevin! What else can you check? Is there a Phillipine-based IV website like VJ?

I-864 HELP

Guys Please Help,

I will feel a lot better if this came directly from you guys even though I have read everything like a 100 times…

I-130 CR1

I should be filling out I-864 right and not I-864A or I-864EZ?

Part 3, Q9: If I’m only sponsoring my wife I leave this blank right?

Part 5, Q21: This is really confusing

21a: enter the number you entered on line 10 = which is “1”

21b: yourself = “1”

21c: if you are currently married, enter “1” for your spouse = “1”

21h: I know this is “2” but do I leave 21c blank or 21a? or do I enter 1 for both and put 2 in 21h?

Part5, Q24: I meet the guide lines on just my income so can I leave 24b blank?

SOME not ALL consulates schedule during the last week of the month. Most other consulates will schedule either during the second week of the month or according to availability.

There are plenty of people with case completes after the cut off date and they've had to wait till the next month to get an interview date, even if they missed it by a day.

So instead of calling the AVR/operators, start getting your interview/evidence packets ready. It'll be Monday before y'all know it is.

Remember only those folks with case completes by April 9 will be eligible for May scheduling. Of course, this is also dependent on how busy your consulate is.

And don't drive yourself crazy with the DHL tracker. Not worth it.

Been there, done that. :bonk:

Hi sach,

Thanks for this. I dont wnat to stress myself waiting for an appointment date. I know it will come soon! goodluck to us

FWIW, that appointment tracker on the site is broke...we got the letter from the embassy and that link to check the appointment doesnt work. I was playing around with case numbers and only found K-1 interviews on there. Also, if you do check there, make sure you click on the check appointment button and not just push the enter key...for some reason that part is broke too.
