hello everyone, i am preparing the ds 230 packet.my question is that biographic page of the passport means the one with my photo,name,age passport number not the address one?

and on my passport the address is of my old residence and now few years back i shifted to a new residence so does it really matter? or i have to change the address to the new one as my wife has petitioned for me on the new address?

please help me with this

Thats why I dont call anymore.... I always get frustrated.

Last time I had to hear: "just because your case was complete, it doesnt mean you'll get a interview date"

After that, I gave up!

Yeah... just made me angry.... She told me - we cannot predict when you'll get the email... I told her I'm not asking her to predict anything, I'm asking for timeframes.... Seems like they feel obligated to be rude for no reason.

Has anyone called NVC about the interview scheduling today?

I called them on another thing & since I was talking to the operator figured to ask about the interview & she said nothing is scheduled in my case & to wait till the 16th/17th. You?

I have a question--I received some gold jewellery from my parents and other guests as wedding gifts as is custom in India. Could I use them as assets? Has anyone done this before? Of course, I'll get it weighed, valued, certified etc. and express it in terms of USD. It'll be around $8,000. I mean gold is as good as liquid cash and only appreciates in value. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this?

I would just like to present the strongest financial case possible and would like to contribute to our AOS.

NOROB--Your biographic page should be fine. I sent that and my expiration/validity correction on another page as that is incorrectly marked on my biographic page.

Called NVC today, still nothing. "We are booked for April..." DUH!

Anyway, they said call back after the 16th. So...does that mean call on the 16th, or the 19?

Sachinky - i've heard ppl list their cars, boat, house etc.. i don't see why you can't add your precious metal assets. Go for it.

All I hear when I call is "...or press 5 to speak to an operator now" Does it say something after that too??

Yeh, if you have an appraisal certificate or something, I'm sure it would be a great asset to list!!
