Tatyana, did you check out the Bombay interview date schedules (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/media/pdf-visas/iv_appnts_may2010.pdf). as much as I hope and pray for you to get a May interview (that's when I'm hoping for my wife from out of Chennai), a lot of the dates looked booked. I hope that list is not comprehensive and that there will be cancellations. Maybe you can cite urgency, given that you are a new mother and all?

I didn't know the schedule was up already. Wow  75 ppl scheduled for CR1 Visa's. Well because the schedule is up, I think we officially did not make the May interview.

Sach said she tried asking the Embassy for an earlier date & they told her they are booked & I don't think that would work in my case neither.

Well, now f*** (sorry for the french) it! We didnt make it for the May interview so no point of harassing the operators as hope slipped out the window. But will call AVR often to see if anything changes. This is officially a bad day! :crying:

do you remove conditions after the CR1?

Yep, usually within a 90 day window of the 2 year anniversary of the Green Card 'date'. This is covered in a guide here, ya know.

Ok, I just used that fancy DHL tracking do-dad and there was 1 package shipped on the 1st headed to Manila. Now I have to figure out WHOM it belongs too?? Any ideas??

Don't forget - now that the casefile has left NVC - the DOS Hotline will know current status. Suggest you program yer speed-dial for the DOS Hotline now, and each time, must Get a Human .

You are a true example of someone who loved a person for who they are rather than what they are worth...

Hope he stays safe and I hope he comes over soon so he doesnt have to deal with the misery any more, and neither do you for that matter... It's been about 10 month since I saw my wife, but at least I'm glad she's safe with her parents there. She was literally crying the other day about how much she misses me,and how long it's been, but when I reminded her about the fact that it was only a couple months out that we would be together again, it brought a smile to her face. But it makes me feel bad coz I've been telling her that for the last few months now...

I hope your hubby stays safe and gets to eat well so he can build up some energy, coz I know you're gonna drain him to exhaustion once he's here ... and to think that we call this "relaxing" B-)

 Thanks SJ. I do love him more than he will ever know. I honestly didnt know what unconditional love meant until I met him. Your wife will see for herself that you are indeed correct! Only a little bit of time now until you two are together. I pray she stays safe as well. Thanks for your well wishes friend...

Hello everyone, i just got an email saying that nvc has received the choice of agent(ds3032). so when can my wife pay IV bill as on the payment portal as it still says NOT INVOICED.

She can pay WHEN it's ready to be paid. Sorry, that's all there is.

The payment portal is updated twice a day, at 3 PM and 10 PM, E.S.T.

Usually, the IV fee bill is 'ready' either:

1. after the I-864 packet has been received or

2. 2 to 5 days after the AOS fee bill has been marked 'PAID' in the portal.

The 'DS-3032 acceptance' is not tied to IV fee bill being 'available' to be paid. Many others make that connection because it SEEMS to be connected, ie - miraculously the IV fee bill thingie showed up after this DS-3032 acceptance. It's not connected, in this manner, at all.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I hear you. I can relate - although not as serious as the conditions your wife is under presently. I think things would be less anxious for me if my husbands living conditions were more secure. Right now, he has not signed another lease because of this and we are paying so much for him to have a little room he is renting which is close to work. Not very good living conditions for him as the room he is in is infested - roaches, rats. No fridge for him and basically he eats at work and does his laundry there as well. (Thankfully the hotel where he works feeds a meal to their staff and since he works in the laundry, can launder his clothes) the property owners we are renting from are glorious people, but have to make a living and I dont think they even know how bad the bugs are. We wont complain - and just are anxious to get this interview over with so we can start this life together. I worry for him everyday and its amazing I have gone this lone (3 mos at NVC almost) without seriously losing my head... :(

Godspeed to all is right SJ! The power of prayer for all of us is needed.. I keep telling myself, it could be worse! (F)

Alicia that's insane - I mean the bugs part.... I can't imagine living like that. But he will be here in no time.... I actually started counting down the weeks to end of May which is anticipated time of my Hubby's POE..... I can only imagine how I'm going to drive myself crazy when there will be just couple hours left until we see each other....

He does :( and it breaks my heart literally. But there just nothing else to do right now. I try to keep him positive and he tries to do the same for me. Sundays are the worst, because that is his day off. I think he really prefers being at work, and I dont blame him.

If I could take his struggles away I would! I would take them all on - he is such a good man, such a hard worker and so full of pride that its almost overflowing. Makes for some intersting marital arguments... B-)

We are all gonna be like little kids come that time huh? We have all been a lil crazy lately. So happy I have you guys to vent to and go :goofy: to... :girlwerewolf2xn:

Not even my closest friend here or family member knows how this feels. Only you guys do.

My case was completed on March 23.

I got the interview appointment on March 25, the email was dated the same day.

However, this was to be expected because this is a trend for BMB which I've observed for the last couple of months. Not every consulate follows this--in fact, even Chennai, in India, seems to be an exception to this last-week-of-the-month-scheduling.

Bombay is VERY, very booked. Seriously. I ran into a guy at the hospital today while I was over for my medical. His case # was dated as 1998. And here we thought that we had to wait long!

Meh, it was okay. Took a while, the hospital was super busy but they had decent food and coffee at the cafetaria. Plus the guy who did my bloodwork was awesome--I didn't feel a thing.

Day 1 medical done today. Sputum, blood test, chest X-ray. The lady said I probably don't need any vaccinations since I'm covered from my F-1 (2005). I hope so, NOT a fan of needles.

Gardasil is NOT required anymore, if anyone was still curious. However, they did make me sign a consent form for HIV testing.

Going back on Thursday again for physical and collection of report.
