Plus, I asked a NVC operator, she told me Federal Tax Return + W2 = IRS Tax Transcript. And, she suggested us email(cause we do the Electronic Processing)either the Federal Tax Return + W2 or IRS Tax Transcript. Is it correct?

ya - for TY 2009 - can be EITHER 'the federal return + w-2' OR 'Tax Transcript'.

GUZ is hard, though - suggest 3 years of financial/tax data, not just 1 or current year.

I emailed attorney a letter firing him. Let's just hope it's not going to be a war! Anyways, hope to SIF next week! Mon/Tue sounds good to me!

Suggest you follow that up with a certified letter, containing a printed letter, stating same as the email.

I'm curious as to what people have done in this situation. We received our AOS bill Mar 31st and paid it as soon as we got the email. It shows presently as 'in process' on the online payment system. When calling NVC the AVR indicates that NVC has received the AOS bill but it doesn't say paid.

That said, I know that it has to show paid/be paid before sending the prescribed cover sheet on the Dept of State site. Has anyone done anything differently. Like I said the AVR said it received the AOS bill but the online system shows in process and it won't allow me to obtain the cover sheet.

The AVR system is a few days behind actual events, for NVC Processing.

The 'rightest' way to monitor 'what to do' next , at this stage, is

the online payment portal. The portal is updated each day at 3 PM and 10 PM,

E.S.T. When you have a receipt available for printing, then it's time to send in

'that' set o stuff.

I thought I'd add to this sachi, if you don't mind. I'm sure there are some in the same position as me - I don't want to file yet because I'll owe without being able to file jointly with my wife and if I use the W-7 form for an ITIN it has to be snail mailed + they require as many documents as NVC does!! I was worried about not having my return for Merlaine to take with her to her interview so I called my tax guy. If you are due a refund, you DO NOT have to file before the April 15th deadline. You can file at any time and will even be paid interest on the money you're owed. At his suggestion, I drafted a letter explaining why I was going to wait to file and attached copies of my W-2's. I can't believe that 3 years of transcripts and that letter w/W-2's wouldn't suffice I guess I'll find out in May (oh god I hope)

Ahhahahha...yah right! I loved weekends until I was introduced to the NVC. Now they SUCK!!

I am doing the same thing Kevin. I filed for an extension and will file the taxes for 2009 with my wifes social security number once she has it. I will send her copies of my extension, my W-2's and other schedule documents for the interview. I will also include a note on why I did an extension.

You need to send the ds3032 with the receipt page...

Yes, you can send it now and call them on Monday to confirm your email addresses.

Sending now will save you a couple of days.
