Tickets are refundable. $100 cancellation charge. It's worth it especially since I know prices are gonna go through the roof during the summer and seats are already scarce.

It'd be great if they issue the visa and return the passport on the same day, otherwise it'll be couriered to me via DHL in 2-3 days.

Sachi - the husband had no interest in India and agreed that is a trip that I would make by myself which I was quite happy with because that is my thing ... until I showed him pictures and he started reading about it so now he wants to come too.

If you can make it happen - I will happily travel with you in spirit. It would be the perfect spot to decompress and ready yourself for the next battle in the immigration war ...

Maybe I'd better check prices again. China Air is really good about moving dates around, I'm just not sure how quick she'll get an interview.

IF YOU CONFIRM WITH NVC THAT YOU HAVE AN RFE, DISREGARD THE WARNING ABOVE.:

--BARCODED cover sheet you printed from the website, but when addressing your package, change the Attention line from "ATTN: CMR" to "ATTN: DR"

--Your own Cover Sheet listing the documents you're sending and reason.

--Include the documents missing or corrected based on operator suggestion and your own common sense.

I'm anticipating the RFE being related to the DS-230 so I'm preparing my package to send back. The barcoded cover sheet, is this the one that I was sent after paying the IV bill that went with the original DS-230, or another one?

Guys if you havent received your IRS transcript through the mail. Go to a regional IRS office(Federal) and fill up an application. They will print it out for you right away. All you have to do is pay per sheet probaly like 20cents or so. This is one of the option. An other sourse is call the payroll provider like (ADP), not your employer and ask for W2 if you dont have it and sent it with a copy of your 1040 or whatever you filed.

Or you can just call the IRS and have them fax it to you for free.

Thanks guys! We will follow your suggestions

Plus, I asked a NVC operator, she told me Federal Tax Return + W2 = IRS Tax Transcript. And, she suggested us email(cause we do the Electronic Processing)either the Federal Tax Return + W2 or IRS Tax Transcript. Is it correct?

Can - That sux. No need to leave the April thread (F) ... however, if you're not home until the end of April before you can send what they are requesting then maybe a hiatus from VJ would be a good thing. :star:

Just called the AVR, RFE, not sure what it is yet, but will speak to an operator tomorrow..

I've just spoken to TWO operators who were both fairly unhelpful. The first one refused to give me any information related to the application because she tried to tell me my wifes DoB was incorrect. This has never been an issue on any of my other calls to the NVC. The second operator told me to ignore the message on the AVR as they've recieved mail, but we have sent nothing but the AOS packet which they recieved on the 19th, and then the IV packet which they recieved on the 25th.

I'm not sure if I should do as the second operator said and ignore the AVR message, or call back a third time to speak to someone different.
