Dont worry SJ you will get a schedule date soon.. I dont think they go with when your case has been completed. My case was completed on April 12th( I think my case was completed before Hobo's)

I am sure you will get the June date.

I sure hope so, even though it scares me even more when you say that you were done April 12th and u still got June 29th...wonder what the NVC's thinking...:unsure:

Argh! Just realized now my FIL sent only the biographic page of his passport along with his co-sponsor package.

Does he need to prove he is a US citizen or only that he is the father of my husband?

I'm making some sort of confusion because I read somewhere you have to send either the whole passport copies or the birth certificate. Is that the case?

04-12-2010: Interview date assigned by NVC.
05-11-2010: Medical appointment in Rio

05-13-2010: Interview in Rio - APPROVED!!!

06-02-2010: POE in Washington DC - Finally home!

July 30, 2010 - Received the Green Card after receiving 4 welcome letters! USCIS see ya later!

2 YEARS LATER......

03-02-2012: Elegible to lift conditions
06-02-2012: Temporary GC expires

12-20-2012: Permanent GC received

6 MONTHS LATER......

06/03/2013: n400 Filled

10/22/2013: Citizenship test and oath ceremony

Both. The biographic page of his passport proves that he is an USC.

And your husband's BC should prove his relationship with his father.

I think I remember reading the same thing when it came to proving you're a citizen for purposes of the I-130. I do however vaguely remember reading somewhere that you don't have to send copies of the rest of the pages if there are no visas present.

Though to be honest, I couldn't imagine why it would make any difference either way for purposes of proving the person is a citizen.

In all, I would imagine that's something they would have caught before assigning you an interview. And just as a back up, bring the entire copy with you to the interview in case they ask.

Sorry, I know it's not a definite answer; I guess it's what I would do though.

Ok, I think I'm over thinking this!

I'll bring the biographic page. I really don't feel like asking my FIL to scan all pages of his passport. Then if needed, I'll ask and mail it to the Embassy.

Oh God! Now that it's getting closer I can't stop thinking about it!!!!!! I always think that I'm forgetting something!!! :bonk:

My AVR did update today to say that my case was completed on "April 29th Twentyten" as they like to say it. I hope to get the date soon but I dont have high hopes for June now.

Yeah i feel the same way - hey when you took your mind off things and stopped thinking about it, you got the SIF - this WILL also happen the same way. i dont think anyone here, esp. myself and my wife, expected that they would assign interviews at all this week and it happened. so dont worry about it - you WILL get it; if not today, then next week. remember think positive and you will get it! :thumbs:

You are right. I need something to do or this weekend will be a big dud for me thinking about this interview thing. I was about to buy a new phone, maybe I'll do just that and start playing with it and customizing it. Anyone here play with the HTC HD2?

How did you do that? you just called the consulate and requested them for an early date??

yes, i just called my embassy's call center where they schedule appointments and asked them if they had an earlier date and if i could reschedule and they were able to accommodate me...they gave me the earliest available...they told me there were a lot of open slots then they emailed me a letter confirming the new date :thumbs:
