So they took 2 weeks to open your DS230 paperwork? That does NOT make me feel good!

Yes... my 230 arrived April 7 and on The 21st I called and an operator said they had a package from me that still wasn't opened. I wanted to scream!

Then I called back on Friday the 23rd to find out I had the RFE.... maybe the RFE people move faster or something at processing. Who knows!

But I feel a little better today!

Just called NVC as I knew it wouldnt be as busy this time of day. Got through on the first try and spoke with someone within 3 minutes. The operator did confirm that the case is waiting for an interview to be scheduled at "Madras", funny he should call it that, since the name is officially Chennai and that they are still using the MDR code for case numbers. Anywho, he went on and on about how the NVC schedules interviews the second week of every month for the following month and that my case cannot be scheduled for May and will be in in line for June but that there are no guarantees. This was all sweet music to my ears, although I wasnt turned on , is something wrong with me?

I guess I am officially on the waiting for interview list.

Maybe now the wifey will be a little excited. No wait, she listens to the AVR, and that still isnt updated..sigh

Nope... No interview yet due to the capacity of the embassy in Bangkok blah blah blah. Ian was very nice about it, though.

haha good for you man...i got my AVR updated the next day itself. i would call AVR tonight and see if its been updated, record it as an mp3 and then send it to your wife that'll get her to believe it! i got my wife to go to the website and do the SIF for herself. that's what made her believe.
